MORE THAN WORDS - December - Believe and Stamping.

Hello there!
Happy Boxing Day! I hope your Christmas was a Blessed day shared with those you love.. I had a lovely day with 3 of my children and my Darling Grand daughter and husband here and it was a very enjoyable day..
Well I surprised myself and got a layout done in between preparing for Christmas day.. and I have created a layout for this months challenge over at
MORE THAN WORDS  which is..
to be inspired by the word believe and to use some stamping..  I have done some subtle stamping on the back ground of my page and I went with a quote I found and I have used a gorgeous photo of my Grand Daughter..  I wish for her that she will grow up and see her potential and reach her dreams, and I believe a lot of how our children grow up comes from how we treat them as individuals..  I hope you see what I mean when you see the quote I have used.. I hope her parents are encouraged by my layout to speak positive words to their children and watch them grow to see what amazing people they can become...  enough talk... my layout..

some closer views.

some of the stamping on the back ground..

How I used the word 'believe' in the quote on my layout..

Showing some of the layers, book paper, die cuts, netting..lace pieces..

Believe..

I just love this photo of my Granddaughter looking up..  I think it matched the quote beautifully...
Thank you MORE THAN WORDS for inspiring me to sit and scrap, I enjoyed the creativity and de-stressing that came with sitting and doing this page..

Thank you for coming by, and thanks so much for the lovely comments you leave me to read..

And if I don't get back before the 1st January, I wish you all a very Happy New Year, and I hope and pray it is a good one for us all..

ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!!

Hello there,
and all the best for the festive season! In case I dont get back before then, I would love to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and may 2019 be a great year for you!

I am just popping in to share a few things I have created for Scrapmatts as part of my Design team work..After this month I am just stepping away for a while to have a break only because this year has been such a busy one and I am feeling I need to have a breather from my Scrapmatts design team work..  I am still on Kraft+ Design Team and even though I have seen so many Design Team calls on at the moment, I am just going to slow right down... not stop... I hope... I have too much stash to stop, just take a little break.  I do hope to get a few challenges done but just lately I dont seem to spend much time in my craft room..  and that is ok....

So I created two cards and a layout using Scrapmatts products and you can see more details and closer views on the SCRAPMATTS BLOG HERE!!!

Two cards...

Just simple cards to send off this Christmas..

and a layout using an older photo of my Dd..

Oh that is one of my favourite photos from years ago.. (when she used to dress up for me so I could take photos... then she got older and I dont get as many photos any more... sob sob!!)

Just a short post as I know we are all so very busy...  shopping, getting organized, making lists.. trying to tidy the house!! well thats me for sure at the moment..
Thanks for dropping on by, and thanks for the lovely  comments and support this year for my little blog..  I do wish you all the very best for this festive season..
and may you know Gods blessings as you take time to celebrate the birth of our Saviour so long ago..
Merry Christmas!!

KRAFT+ DECEMBER - Needles and Pins...

Well Hello December, and Hello Summer for us.. although I think Summer has been trying us out already with the heat, and some parts of Queensland are battling extreme fires this week.. I pray for rain and an easing of this very difficult situation....

However, I am here to share my layout for the new challenge over at
KRAFT + for December and what a fabulous challenge again this month.. and it is...

Needles and Pins!! What do you think of when you hear that.. there is some wonderful and varied inspiration over on the KRAFT+ BLOG HERE  ..

I was inspired to do some stitching, both by hand and also with my machine, and I also used a stamp that has stitching and I found a couple of decorative pins that I have popped on my page as well...

some closer views..

This shows the hand stitching under the photo and on the bunting..

And on this picture you can see one of the stitched stamp I have used as well as cotton thread messily placed on my layout..

And there are the decorative pins in my flower cluster... and I think they were a giveaway from the very talented RACHAEL FUNNELL quite a few years ago now!!!

and my layout,.

SO very Blessed..

Oh and there is also a bit of paper tape measure too on my page.. lots of layers and fussy cutting for this very special page of my Daughter and Partner and my Darling Granddaughter.... and they have just announced their Engagement.. so that is wonderful news..  so something else to look forward to!!

I cant believe it is December..  hummm.. well yes I can when I stop and think about it... the shops are full of festive stuff, there is Christmas music playing in the malls and yes I saw the big fellow in red last week already... so I guess I can believe it is December... I just don't know how we got here so soon!!! hehe..

Thanks so much for dropping on by, I know things are gunna get real busy so I do appreciate you taking the time, and a big thanks for the lovely comments too..
take care now...  and remember the reason for the season..

Some Scrapmatts Creating.

Hello there,
well where have I been?  It has been a while since I last blogged and I have been trying to find my new 'groove'! I guess it will take time, and although I haven't been creating much, I just thought I would share on my blog some creating I have done for my Design Team work for Scrapmatts. I did these ages ago, before all the rush this month of Formal Graduation week for my Daughter.

The first one is a male layout I did using a photo of my hubby..

I have used Kaisercraft papers and embellishments with Scrapmatts stencils and chipboard pieces.. I ripped the paper and added some clocks and cogs under the tear for some interest.

another closer view of the rip and also some stenciling which I did using a dauber and ink pad.

Some layering.. The big gear was inked with different colored inks to make it look aged..

I don't do many male layouts and I am happy with how this looks..

The next layout I would like to share is one I created using a photo of my Daughter in our paddock.. I love our back yard with its big gum trees and these trees were my inspiration for this page.. I have used some Scrapmatts gum leaves chipboard pieces for this page..  I colored the chipboard with several colors to try and achieve a natural look and I think they blend into the papers I have used  well..

Can you tell what is the chipboard pieces and what are the papers?? hehe!

This Federation corner went well on my page as we have lots of Kookaburras living in our trees.

I have layered some fussy cut leaves and gum flowers down the side of my page with some more gum leaf chipboard.

And I would like to share a layout I created with a photo of my Darling Grand Daughter...  I thought how wonderful it would be to create a page each month to mark those monthly milestones... well I have barely kept up.. I did grab a photo of her when she turned 7 months and I scrapped that using some sweet wildflower chipboard pieces from Scrapmatts.

I will just share one closer view of the chipboard which I backed with paper and added some pink stickles and liquid pearls for the centres of the flowers..

7 months.
She is just the cutest little darling and I cant believe she has just turned 9 months old...Thank goodness for Facebook where I can get the photos off and maybe one day I will get to scrap each monthly milestone until she is one year old.. hehe..  I hope so!

Well thank you for coming by, I know that the days are just going to get crazy as we get closer to Christmas so I do appreciate you all for dropping in.. Thanks too for all the lovely comments you leave me to read, I love reading them..

so until next time... take care...

Don't cry because its over.....

In a few short hours I am going to close this chapter of being the mum of a school aged child. What does one do when there are no more book packs to pick up, uniform shops to visit or school shoes to acquire?
How many thousands, if not millions of colored pencils, crayons, rulers and erasers and rein-inforced loose leaf A4 sheets of paper have come through my front door?
How many socks have I washed, sports shirts have I folded and muesli bars have I bought?
How many times have I clapped my hands together at school concerts and awards nights at other peoples children, but OH - when it was my child - it was a more loud clap with gusto and beating heart - hey world - that's my child!!
The years of schooling children may have seemed like it was never going to end, but what is that saying... all good things come to an end... and in a few short hours as I drive out of the school grounds after my youngest child's graduation service, I reckon I might be a little or a lot - emotional.
Having children to raise is an honor, a gift and responsibility from God - Who by the way was always awake when I needed to call on Him for strength, guidance and help with the task of raising said children..
How many bottles of tears are there, both of joy and heartache - that He has kept from my mummy moments that often were hidden from those who initiated those moments?
Never again will I get that tight chest and feeling of panic when a little voice said - its book week next week! I'm sorry kids, I was not one who relished the idea of putting together some magnificent attire of some book character - that just wasn't me- but somehow because of my desire to gain a smile, I got a few dressups together and celebrated Book Week. (Occasionally!!!)
So in a few short hours after 28 years 10 months and 16 days - not counting or anything - my role as the mum of school aged children will be made redundant..
No longer needed in that capacity..
I will need to find a new job description. Oh I will always be a mum that continues to be my greatest honor and role, but it will be time to add to my resume..
So thank you God for entrusting me with 4 amazing, wonderful unique humans to call my own, to my Husband who has worked tirelessly to pay for it all, and most importantly to my children who have given me so  many reasons to smile and get out of bed each morning.
I think I wont rush next monday morning and sit on the veranda in my jarmies and toast the school bus with my cuppa as he doesn't  have to stop for us anymore..

and begin a new chapter then, and wait and see what life will hold when all the kids have finished school...

MORE THAN WORDS October Challenge - Leisure and Splats!

Gidday gidday!
I trust things are going well in your part of the sand pit!! This month is flying out the door so I had better hurry and put my layout up for this months challenge over at MORE THAN WORDS CHALLENGE which is a fun one this month and it is...

To be inspired by the word leisure, and to have 'splats' on your layout..  Well the splats are so much fun to do and I had a photo of my all time bestest thing to do for leisure so I created this....

some closer views..

Can you guess? Of course it is going to the beach... I dont get there as much as i would like so it is very much enjoyed when I do..  A few weeks ago my DD and I just jumped in the car and drove up to the coast for an overnight stay. It was just a couple of days of bliss. .Even the rain couldn't dampen my spirits. I love this board walk and I could stare out to the ocean for hours... This soothes my soul so much...

I have used various Kaisercraft papers and embellishments and some shells from the beach too..

The ocean is calling...

Sigh, the beach is my favorite place for leisure.. rest... and recharging...

Thanks so much for dropping by, I know we are all so busy these days!
Thanks too for all the comments you leave me to read, I love each one!!
Until next time...
take care..

ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD GOING OLD SCHOOL CYBERCROP CHALLENGES..

Gidday! How are you all on this lovely day..  As I sit here and look out the window at all the green grass I am amazed at the transformation of my garden after getting some wonderful rain..  Green is so much better than brown!!

Anyhooo I am just putting up a few layouts I have created for this weeks challenges for ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD OLD SCHOOL CYBERCROP which is on Facebook. I have managed to do 3 layouts at this stage so I thought I would pop them up.

The first layout is for the ENGLISH CHALLENGE which is to
So I used a photo of my Dd and the kitten we got for her for her 16th Birthday and the story behind her cats name..

The layers under the photo.. I got these papers from Spotlight.

My journalling..

ORVA.

The second layout is for the MATHS CHALLENGE which is..

Humm I thought about this one for a bit and then came up with an idea.. I found some number alphas and put them on my page making note of where my photo was going to go and went with that!

Then I covered the numbers well with gesso..

When it was really dry I began spraying with mists and dabbling the excess until I was happy with the result.. and I forgot to take a photo but you can see the colors on the back ground..

A few splats are always a good idea!!!

Grandparents day.

And I used this years photo of Grandparents Day for this page..  How blessed my kids have been to have their Grandparents support them all through their school life..

And the third layout is for the BLIND CROP CHALLENGE which was held on the saturday but I missed it as I had to go and pick up my Daughter from work but as I had all the ingredients ready I did it later on..

So I followed the instructions and when it said 'make the layout your own..." that is where I did some fussy cutting of flowers from the papers and added to my page..

some closer views..

I used new Prima Papers and flowers for this layout..

Beauty.

I am liking the clean look lately, it is funny how I create according to mood!!  I guess all artists get a bit moody!!!hehe!!

So thanks for coming by to check these out. Lots of inspiration over at the
ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD COMMUNITY.
Thank you too for the lovely comments you leave me to read, I appreciate each one.. have a wonderful day!!
