What's in the Bickie Tin /More Than Words December Challenge

 Hello there!

Merry Christmas to your Home from my Home!

I managed to do some creating last week or maybe the week before, I dunno! Cant keep track of the days!! And this layout is for the Challenge over at WHATS IN THE BICKIE TIN on Facebook  which is to use Gold/Silver, add a bow and use a stamp..  And it is also for the challenge over at

MORE THAN WORDS which is..

To be inspired by childhood and to use gold..

I have used a new photo of my Grandie in front of her Christmas tree this year and her eyes are full of excitement of the season. Children bring out something wonderful in the festive season so that is the inspiration for the childhood part.. and you will see I have used lots of gold.

some closer views..

Gold, stamping and bows..

The light in a Childs eyes is all it takes to make Christmas a wondrous time of the year.

I love this photo and kept the design of the page  simple. The quote is from the internet and I changed it a bit to suit my thoughts..

Thanks for coming by, I really hope you have a lovely rest of this week as we go into Christmas Day.

Thanks for your support of my little blog this year, I really appreciate each one of your visits and comments..

God Bless you and yours this Christmas..

December Scrapmatts Creating.

 Hello there!

How is everything going as we quickly approach Christmas Day? It is going to be here before we know it, and I am not organized, in fact I feel I am the least organized ever!  I hope to pull it all together this week and at least write a bit of a time line for what I have to do! And not to stress, that is NOT the reason for the season!

I am just popping up my two layouts that I created for Scrapmatts Design Team work for this month.. I have closer views and details over on the SCRAPMATTS BLOG HERE!

The first layout is using a lovely photo of my Grandie and her Daddy looking at some flowers in a pot.. a special moment..

Love blooms here.

and the second layout is using a really old photo of my kids.. I wanted to do a Christmas layout but found I didn't have much left in my Christmas chippies so I used other Scrapmatts chipboard and I think it turned out ok!

Merry Christmas!

I love this old photo.. time does go fast..

Well I appreciate you taking a moment to drop by, thank you to those who leave a comment they warm my heart.. Please take care, and if I dont get back before then..

Have a very merry Christmas!

Beautiful.

Scrapmatts Creating for November.

 Hello there..

How are things with you? At the moment the weather here is very hot.. a little hint of summer not too far away perhaps..  but a good opportunity to stay indoors and do some creating..  well I hope so!!

I am just popping up my creating that I have done for my Design Team work for Scrapmatts.. I am still shaking my head that we are half way through November.. crazy..  anyhoooo..

I have created two layouts this month.. you can check out the details and closeups over on the SCRAPMATTS BLOG POST HERE!!!!

The first layout I created was using a photo of my Son who learnt to play the drums when he was in High School..  The photo was captured during one of his many jam sessions and I reckon it is a fantastic moment because I know how much he moves when he is playing the drums.. Not sure who took the photo but as with a lot of the photos I use I 'borrowed' it from facebook!!!

Live every moment..

and the second layout has a photo of my Daughter when she visited the Brisbane Ekka a few years ago.. She may live in the city but she has country in her heart!! She was able to get really close to some cows as they were resting in their stalls..

Love is kind.

(I do love those cute little cow chippies!!!)

Thanks for coming by and checking out my blog. It seems to be that not many blog these days, but I still like to as it is my record of my scrapping.. And thanks to those who leave me a comment, it is so nice to read your words and know you visited..

Take care.. I hope life is being kind to you..

Until next time..

KRAFT+ - November.. It's a bugs life!!

 Hello there!

I hope this finds you well..  and wow here we are in November already.. What a year this has been!!

The new challenge for KRAFT+  for November is up and running and what a great challenge it is this month..

A bugs life!! What inspires you about this mood board??  You can pop over to the

KRAFT+ BLOG HERE!!!  and check out the design Teams take on this challenge for some inspiration.. Lots of different takes, there might be something that gives you some motivation!!

Well when I saw this I first thought what can I create for this?? I had a look in my papers and found some really old papers from Kaisercraft and thought I would use them on my layout.. I found a photo of my son when he was a little boy and away I went..

some closer views.

I fussy cut some of the bugs from the papers and lifted them up with foam tape for some dimension.

And while I am not 100 percent sure sammy snail is a bug he fits in that category of creepy crawlies in my opinion!!

Cute as a bug!

Perhaps you have these old papers still in your stash, a good time to get them out and use them for this challenge.. or you might have some other buggy type papers or photos you can use.. You can pop your layout up over on the KRAFT+ Community page on Facebook here!!

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for the lovely comments that you leave me.. I appreciate each one..

I hope your November is off to a great start,

take care!

until next time..

Whats in the Bickie Tin - October.

Hi There! How is your day going?

I have surprised myself by creating a layout today for the challenge over at

WHATS IN THE BICKIE TIN for the October inspiration. which is..

To use Orange and Black colors

layer your photo/s

add something fussy cut..

I didn't think I had anything orange, but as usual I found some papers and decided to do some stamping on the back ground in orange and black..

a couple of closer views..

a closer view of the stamping.. I used two different Kaisercraft stamps. And I used one photo but there are lots of layers under the photo..

The fussy cut element are these flowers from the papers which are Kaisercraft..

Blessed..

I love this photo of my Grandie and her burnt orange skirt went with the colors for this challenge.. And I like the pops of hot pink from the papers too..

Thanks so much for coming by, and for the lovely comments you leave me too, I appreciate each one.. I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Kraft+ - October challenge.. Crazy about chalk

Hello October!! For me this is the second month of spring, for others it is Autumn..  It is pretty incredible that we are in October already..

The new challenge for KRAFT+ October  is up and it is a fabulous one again this month.. The graphics are amazing and it is..

Crazy about Chalk.. however if you do not have chalk in your stash, then being inspired by something on the mood board is perfectly acceptable.. wherever your inspiration takes you!! On a base of Kraft of course!!

You may like to check out the Design Team inspiration over on the KRAFT+ BLOG HERE!!!!

and my layout..

I was inspired by the many  colors in the board and the chalk element was by using chalks to color the centre of these canvas flowers.. I simply used a cotton bud to rub the color on the centres of the flowers..

The flowers I got from a discount store.. I cant remember where I got these chalks from, they have been in my stash for a long tine!!

my layout.

I was also drawn to use this photo of my Grandie as she has her hand raised like the photo on the moodboard!!

I hope you get some time to join in with us this month.. you can pop your creation up on the

KRAFT+ COMMUNITY PAGE ON FACEBOOK ..

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for the lovely comments too.. Each one is appreciated..

Until next time..

White With One Cyber Crop Challenges..

 Hello there,

How is your day going? It is breezy here and quite warm.. and oh so dry.. I do hope there is rain on the horizon soon..

Well I have surprised myself and had a go at the Cyber Crop happening over on WHITE WITH ONE CHALLENGES ON FACEBOOK and I have created for the 3 challenges..

The first one is to use the color of your choice and scrap about a childhood memory.. The photo I went with was in my pile of photos so I went with that... hehe.. and it is a photo of my brothers and sisters and I at the beach around 1968 I am guessing..  and the color I used is a sea blue..

a couple of closer views..

I have stencilled on the back ground using a Kaisercraft stencil. I have used a few dies too!

The papers and the little chippies are Kaisercraft.

Summer Memories.

And as you may have guessed the blondie on the right side is me!!

The second challenge is to use Purple, chipboard, flowers, ink/stamping and some bling..

a couple of closer views.

The chipboard I have used is a Dusty Attic brand which I embossed with a sparkly purple. I have stamped on the back ground with a couple of stamps.. and dabbed some paint on as well..

The flowers are 49 and Market and the bling is from my stash that I have had for years and years!!!!

Lovely Moment.

This is an older photo of my youngest!!

And challenge three is to use Gold and white and a black and white photo.. I was quite surprised at how much gold stuff I had!!

some closer views.

Gold is hard to photograph, it tends to look brown.. but I assure you this is all gold embellies!! I had made some flowers too..

Cherish Moments.

My grandie when she was smaller!!

Thanks so much White With One for the inspiration.. I made myself scrap these and I am glad I have..

Thank you for dropping in today, and thank you to those who leave a little comment.. It is nice to know you dropped by and the comments are appreciated..

take care..

until next time..

Whats in the Bickie Tin - September.

 Hello there!

Thanks for coming by. I hope your day is going as well as can be..

I have not been doing much creating lately, just keeping up my DT work and trying to do at least one challenge for the month.. things have been a bit up and down around here, so I guess that is not helping..  so I have sat myself down and created for this months challenge over at WHATS IN THE BICKIE TIN  and it is..

to use green and white, add splatters and add a die cut..   I like these challenges as they are just for fun and creativity.

 a couple of closer views..

I have used an other range of Kaisercraft papers..

The Best Memories..

So I have green and white, some splatters and lots of die cuts..

Thanks for the encouragement to scrap Whats in the Bickie Tin.. You can see what is happening over on their FACEBOOK PAGE HERE!!!!

Thanks so much to those who pop a comment down for me, I appreciate each one and everyone who also pops by for a look too..

Enjoy the rest of today..
