49andMarket June Sketch

A very good day to you! I hope your day is going well.. A chilly day here so a good day for me to sit inside and do some creating! I thought I would have a go at the sketch challenge for 49and Market on Facebook which looks like...

I got some 49andMarket papers at a recent Craft Alive and I must say the papers are so pretty and very thick.. the embellishments that are available are so beautiful too.. I could really get addicted to them!! So I thought I would join in with the monthly challenge.. I have used Vintage Artistry papers and embellishments with a few stickers from my stash and a bit of stamping on the back ground..

A close up.

The flowers are 49and Market..

Happy Moments

The photo is my Daughter and my Granddaughter..I cant believe that June is almost through...A few days and it will be time to flip the calendar and begin another month... Thanks for dropping on by, do take care... until next time...

Soul Scrappers Challenges - Sketch, Mystery bag and One Word

Hello there, how is your June going? As quickly as mine? And once again I am scratching my head wondering where the days are going... But I have been able to squeeze in some creating for a few of the Challenges over at Soul Scrappers on Facebook  where they have amazing challenges each month to get the creative juices going!!

The first challenge I would like to share with you is the sketch.. I love sketches as they give a foundation on which to begin, and this months sketch a fabulous Page Maps sketch looks like..

I followed the sketch pretty closely..

a couple of close ups..

Lots of fussy cutting, I have used Cocoa Vanilla papers and embellishments for this page..

hello beautiful..

I have used an older photo of my Grandie when she just had enough hair to make a little piggy tail on the top of her head!!

The next layout I would like to share is for the Mystery Bag challenge which is to use Paper Weaving, a little or a lot... I just did a little bit of paper  weaving in two of the corners of my layout..

a couple of closer views..

I have used 49 and Market papers with some die cuts and some really old lace stickers that I have had for many years.. This is a corner showing the paper weaving..

forever and always

The photo was printed at home using a matt photo paper so it might appear a little blurry, but it isnt in real life.. I am also trying out a new camera as my old one seemed to be taking blurry photos so hopefully my layouts are a bit better as I get used to it..

The last layout I would like to share is for the One Word challenge and that was to use S, R or B for the One Word title.. and I chose B for Blessed..

a couple of closer views..

I have used 49 and Market papers and embellishments for this page also.. I added some die cuts as well cut on my die machine..

The floral embellishments in this paper range are simply stunning!

Blessed

I love how this layout turned out, and this is one of my favorite photos too.. holding my little Grand daughter when she was still very little.. so blessed...

So thanks so much to Soul Scrappers on Facebook for the wonderful challenges, I hope to do some more creating before the month is out! but we shall see! Thanks for coming on by, do take care, and until next time...

Kraft+ June Mood Board Challenge

Good day to you all! The first day of Winter begins for me today, although I must say we have had our fire going for a week or more already.. I like going out and chopping the wood for the wood burner, kinda helps me get rid of tensions!!! So here we are in June, the number 6 month ( have to get used to writing 6 now for the month!!) and the new scrapping challenges are going up for your inspiration, probably a good time to stay indoors and create!!!

The June Challenge for Kraft+  is a fabulous mood board..

It took me a while to decide what I would do with this board, but I kept coming back to the Dining table and chairs. They reminded me of my Mums old dining table and chairs and the many times i had sat around with family.. So I found a precious photo of an afternoon tea with my family, nieces and nephews gathered around the table with my Dad having a previous time together.. My Dad passed away last year and he loved it when the family would get together. The photo is not the best quality (taken in the late 1990's) but the memory is so very much cherished now... I took inspiration from the colors too for my layout..

a closer view..

Fussy cutting die cuts and a Charms Creations heart and a bow on top!

Memories

Just shows you should always take a photo..You never know when it will become a cherished memory.

You can pop over to the Kraft+ Blog here   and the Kraft+ Facebook Community Page here  to see what everyone has been creating and I hope you get time to join in too..

Thanks for dropping by, take care.. until next time..
