Feeling Sketchy Card & Kaisercraft March Sketch.

Hello lovely friends!
I trust you all have had a great Easter Weekend and are having a splendid Tuesday!

I have a card and a layout to put up today..

The CARD SKETCH FOR FEELING SKETCHY #141 is a lovely one and I just had a few minutes during the week before Easter and needed a scrap fix so I thought I would do a card..  The sketch looks like..
and my card..  using hand made flowers..
Just for you..

 I have used lots of dies and finished it off with a little bow!!

And today I needed a bigger scrap fix so I created a layout for the KAISERCRAFT MARCH CHALLENGE which is to use this sketch...

  I have used various Kaisercraft paper ranges for my layout,  Kaisercraft dies, collectables and stencils.

I think that scribble die is one of my favourites at the moment!

Another layout using a photo from the photo shoot I had with my sisters from last year.. It was so nice to sit and create after a busy weekend.

MORE THAN WORDS - Bliss and Gesso...

A very good day to you! I hope you are having a marvellous day!

I am putting up my take on the March challenge for MORE THAN WORDS which is another fabulous one and it is..
Use the word or be inspired by the word BLISS and use GESSO.

Well I have used lots of gesso, both white for my back ground foundation and black for background detailing..
 I have used the word BLISS on my layout as well as using a photo that just oozes bliss to me, a photo of my DD and husband fishing at sunset at the coast when we were on holidays one time... such a blissful moment..

My title covered in black gesso then dimensional magic and seed beads added..  it sort of looks like the foam you get in the sea at times...

This chipboard flourish is covered in white gesso then gold paint then stamped and beads added.. sort of looks like barnacles!!

This is bliss..

Stencilling using black gesso, stamping and plasterers tape.. Love that photo...I  didnt want to overwhelm the page but let the photo be the main focus..  sigh.. take me back there....Oh and we didnt catch our dinner, we went to the fish and chip shop afterwards!! hehe!

KRAFT + - Hint of Hound!

Thanks for coming on by.. the days are simply flying by...  I hope your week is going well...

The March challenge for KRAFT +  is another amazing one..  Where do they get their ideas from??  Anyway it is to use a fabulous sketch and a HINT OF HOUND! some hounds tooth pattern on your page..

I have rotated the sketch like this..

and I was too lazy to  go through my stash of papers.. because I knew I had a houndstooth pattern stencil!!! So I used that..

I scraped around some black gesso on the back ground and then created my layout.. lots of dies and flowers too..

Scrapmatts March Creations.

Hello there and welcome to my first post as a member of the 2016 Scrapmatts Design Team.

I have a layout and card to show you today.

I have used a photo of my Sisters and I taken last year and I have created a soft feminine layout using floral papers and lovely chipboard pieces.

I have used the Dressform CB6037 which I have 'clothed' with some lace for a bodice and some pleated paper for a skirt.

And I just had to pop a pretty butterfly on my page too..  This one is from the pack CB4006 which I have colored with the Gelly Roll Pens which give the butterfly such a pretty sparkle.

And my layout which is centered in the large clock CB8003 which has been painted with gesso and white texture paste. The title is from the pack CB6112. Some fussy cut flowers placed around the clock to finish the layout off.

Remember..

And while I had those floral papers out I thought I would create a simple card. This took only a few minutes using some dies and my sentiment from Scrapmatts CB1244 and a delicate rose CB1202 as a finishing touch.  The rose was colored with the Gelly Roll Pens .

I love the wooden sentiments which adds dimension but does not add to the thickness of the card or to the cost of the postage..

March Challenges - Archiscraps, 123 Challenge Blog, Sketchy Boards, White With ONe and some news!

Hello There, welcome to my blog and welcome to March.. I love Autumn, the cooler nights and pleasant days..
I have a few challenges to put up, I was wondering if I should separate them, but I think I will put them all on this post so I hope it is not too long for you!

The March challenge for SKETCHY BOARDS ON FACEBOOK is an interesting one I thought.. and it is..

I took the colors and followed the sketch.. and my layout..

The challenge for ARCHISCRAPS is to be inspired by this building and also to use gesso or texture paste and yellow..

I have created a card for my example..

 I have used texture paste through a stencil..

The challenge for THE 123 CHALLENGE BLOG is a very Autunmy one and it is to use..

Autumn tones for the colors, the word Memories, and some leaves on your layout.

And my layout..

I have used some older Basic Grey papers for this layout.. and that photo is several years ago too..  just memories now..  My daughter in the autumn leaves ..

And... are you still with me!!?  I hope so..

The color for WHITE WITH ONE is a really pretty one that I enjoyed creating for ..... and it will be my last as a creative team member as I am stepping down as I have been on the team since October 2014 and I would like to knock on some new doors and see if they open for me!!

Lavender herb.. I think this is such a pretty color..  and my layout..

And remember what I said about knocking on doors? well I am so pleased to announce I am now on the Design Team for SCRAPMATTS!!!

 

 My goodness I need to pinch myself every now and then to make sure I am not dreaming!! The team looks amazing and I am so excited and I hope I can be of some inspiration when I use the wonderful chipboards and stencils that Scrapmatts have. An Aussie company too.. So my first design team for a Company.. wow!!
