Hello there,
I am sitting here listening to the rain, coming in spits and I am hoping this is going to hang around for a few days.. It has given us a bit of a break from the relentless heat, so here's hoping...
I felt like creating something and hoped I would finish it before the end of the month, because if you are like me, sometimes I start something and life happens and I dont get back to it for a few days!! I cant believe how quickly January has flown by... It just doesn't seem like it has been long enough!!! but by the end of this week it will be a new month!!
The challenge over at ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD - Mini Challenge on Facebook was to use doileys... well I have heaps of them so I thought I would create a layout using doileys..
and a couple of closer views first..
I have layered two doileys and added flowers and pieces of a brick wall die as well as leaves cut from a die.
Beautiful..
This is a photo of my DD taken quite a few years ago... She was such a cutie!!
Well just a quick post, thanks for dropping by... I hope your January has been a good one! Thanks so much to those who leave me a little comment too.. I do appreciate each one of them...
Hope your rain sticks around for you! I love love love this! LOVING the photo, the colors, the flowers and the 'bricks'!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful layout, Lizzy! So glad you are getting a bit of relief from the heat--I'll take the cold weather anytime!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the rain has brought some much needed refreshment! We had the same relentless heat for weeks on end and then finally last week Friday, the heavens opened and it has rained every day since then. It has been blissful! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLoving this sweet page of your daughter....the colours are fab and really love that die-cut too! Very pretty! ;-)
So, so very pretty Lizzy, and just love the arrangement and colour combo xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely page Lizzy!! Love the contrast between the brick wall die cut and the pretty doilies .. looks wonderful! A really sweet photo of your DD and the flowers look so pretty! So pleased for you that you had some lovely rain .. we had some too!! They say we have some strong winds coming tomorrow which, I hope, won't be too damaging but at least the temperature is being more reasonable right now. Such a relief!! Have a fabulous day!! hugs x
