Kaiser Saturday challenge #2 August and Lets Get Shabby!

Good morning!

The smell of glue coming from my little scrap room means one thing..... I have been creating..!!

The Saturday challenge over at KAISER is another card one, so I thought I would create a card for this one....seeing as I have plenty of Kaiser products!!
We are to use something sparkly, something dimensional and something floral.. I have used a rhinestone flower, I have lifted up the layers with cardboard and I have used a floral stamp as well as floral papers..  and my card..

Hello.

And the challenge for LETS GET SHABBY was something different this month, we were to use a favorite book cover for inspiration.. I really felt like doing an art journal page so I remembered a book I read over and over many years ago by a lady whose name is Barbara Johnson.  And this is the book I was inspired by to create my art journal pages..
She is quite an inspirational writer with added humour in her books.. She went through many difficulties in her life including nearly losing her husband in a near fatal accident, losing a son in Vietnam, and another son to a drink driver and the 3rd son disowned her for many years. so she really has a lot to share about lifes pain..  I have used the title of her book and popped a little photo of Barbara on my second page just to remind me about her..

and my pages..

The images I have used have been printed from google images.. lots of stamping, book pages and texture on the back ground before covering it with geraniums!!

Thanks so much for dropping by and thank you as always for any comments you leave me..

I will leave you with a few lines from the last chapter of the book.. Stick a geranium in your hat and be happy.

"Tears and sorrow come, but each time God will be there to remind you that He cares. Romans 8:28 means that God causes all things in our lives to work together for good. Flowers can even grow on the dung hills, and compost makes great gardens. God is offering Himself to you daily, and the rate of exchange is fixed. It is your (and my ) sins for His forgiveness, your (and my) tragedy and hurt for His balm of healing.. and your sorrow for His joy..."     God Bless you my friends..
