the latest challenge at
http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/hi-everyone-and-welcome-to-september.html is to use the sketch and journal about a special year in your life.. well i found it hard to narrow it down.. getting married, having children, anniversarys..moving house... but the year that i picked was 2003.. how could i go past this year??.. something extraordinary happened that year.. in January my Husband and I got on a plane and went to get our youngest daughter..we had never been on a plane, and the whole experience was one i will never forget..we were so mindful of being in another country, having to meet with their Government official, get scrutinized everywhere we went.. going to meet our daughter for the first time.. getting her put into my arms and driving away.. getting on a plane and taking her to a new country, a new family.. a huge deal for us all.. but just the most wonderful thing..
i kept to the sketch but used two photos instead of one..i love how Nisha is just tucked in between my hubby and i in the second photo... she was the missing piece and she fit perfectly!!!
