MORE THAN WORDS October Challenge - Leisure and Splats!

Gidday gidday!
I trust things are going well in your part of the sand pit!! This month is flying out the door so I had better hurry and put my layout up for this months challenge over at MORE THAN WORDS CHALLENGE which is a fun one this month and it is...

To be inspired by the word leisure, and to have 'splats' on your layout..  Well the splats are so much fun to do and I had a photo of my all time bestest thing to do for leisure so I created this....

Can you guess? Of course it is going to the beach... I dont get there as much as i would like so it is very much enjoyed when I do..  A few weeks ago my DD and I just jumped in the car and drove up to the coast for an overnight stay. It was just a couple of days of bliss. .Even the rain couldn't dampen my spirits. I love this board walk and I could stare out to the ocean for hours... This soothes my soul so much...

I have used various Kaisercraft papers and embellishments and some shells from the beach too..

The ocean is calling...

Sigh, the beach is my favorite place for leisure.. rest... and recharging...

ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD GOING OLD SCHOOL CYBERCROP CHALLENGES..

Gidday! How are you all on this lovely day..  As I sit here and look out the window at all the green grass I am amazed at the transformation of my garden after getting some wonderful rain..  Green is so much better than brown!!

Anyhooo I am just putting up a few layouts I have created for this weeks challenges for ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD OLD SCHOOL CYBERCROP which is on Facebook. I have managed to do 3 layouts at this stage so I thought I would pop them up.

The first layout is for the ENGLISH CHALLENGE which is to

So I used a photo of my Dd and the kitten we got for her for her 16th Birthday and the story behind her cats name..

The layers under the photo.. I got these papers from Spotlight.

The second layout is for the MATHS CHALLENGE which is..

Humm I thought about this one for a bit and then came up with an idea.. I found some number alphas and put them on my page making note of where my photo was going to go and went with that!

Then I covered the numbers well with gesso..

When it was really dry I began spraying with mists and dabbling the excess until I was happy with the result.. and I forgot to take a photo but you can see the colors on the back ground..

A few splats are always a good idea!!!

Grandparents day.

And I used this years photo of Grandparents Day for this page..  How blessed my kids have been to have their Grandparents support them all through their school life..

And the third layout is for the BLIND CROP CHALLENGE which was held on the saturday but I missed it as I had to go and pick up my Daughter from work but as I had all the ingredients ready I did it later on..

So I followed the instructions and when it said 'make the layout your own..." that is where I did some fussy cutting of flowers from the papers and added to my page..

I am liking the clean look lately, it is funny how I create according to mood!!  I guess all artists get a bit moody!!!hehe!!

ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD October Sketch Challenge..

Hello there! It is friday again... already.... the weeks sure are flying by!!  I hope you have had a great week..  I have been getting a bit of creative time and I always love a good sketch... So I have created a layout for this months challenge for ANNAS CRAFT CUPBOARD on FACEBOOK which looks like..

but I assure you my layout is anything but spooky!! In fact I have used a photo of my little grand daughter looking very cute!

I have gone for a clean look to my page, with some simple layers in cute colors.

I fussy cut this rabbit from the papers... so cute!

So Sweet.

This is a very clean and simply created layout but I love how it turned out,  for me, it is all about this photo and this adorable little face and the sketch was perfect for it!!

KRAFT+ - October - All about Friends!

Goodness me how did we get to October already??? The months sure have been flying by!
And so...  all the new scrap challenges are going up around the blogs and the  new one for KRAFT+ this month is an extra special one I think... and it is all about Friends...

I had a photo of my dearest friend and I, we have been friends for about 37 years when we used to work together.. My friend is the kindest person you could ever meet, and I am so blessed to have her in my life..
