Hello there,
How is your day going? Good I hope! The cool weather is hanging on here, but there is a forecast of some lovely rain on the weekend, and I pray we get a good drop from the Heavens!!
I am just popping up my layout for this months challenge over at CHALLENGE YOUrself which is..
to create a Mother-Daughter themed layout.. well each month I tell myself I must join in, but this month I had the perfect photo taken on Mothers day this year of 4 Generations, and I just had to sit and scrap it.. The photo has my Mum, Me, My Daughter and my darling Grand Daughter, so I simply had no excuse for not having a good photo.. so here is my layout, with some closer views..
lots of fussy cutting from Kaisercraft papers layered over a Scrapmatts chipboard frame.
some gauze for softness around the flowers..
and a pretty heart stencil on the side of my page.. from Scrapmatts.
A daughter is..
That is a very special photo and I am so happy I have scrapped it.. The hard part will be to decide whose album it will go into!!!
Thanks CHALLENGE YOUrself for the inspiration this month with your Mother-Daughter challenge..
Thanks for popping by today, thanks so much for the lovely comments too..
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Oh what a beautiful lay-out! That frame of flowers looks absolutely gorgeous. Love your work on here!
ReplyDeleteHi Lizzy! WOW! Your layout is absolutely gorgeous! I love that photo of the 4 generations so much! And you scrapped it beautifully here. I am sure this will be cherished for generations to come, too! I am so happy that you joined us at Challenge YOUrself this month for the Mother-Daughter challenge! Thank you! ( . . . and I love that quote at the end of your post, too!)
ReplyDeleteAwww, this is fantastic and a wonderful memory to preserve, Lizzy! I guess you will have to scrap this photo a couple more times so everyone can have a copy!
ReplyDeleteA stunning layout, showcasing a very precious photo!! Love this to bits Lizzy!! Perfect colours of course for this very feminine page, and the fussy cut flowers are the perfect frame for that wonderful photo!! So love your work!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get the rain you're hoping for Lizzy!! Our days are very cold too and we have had quite a bit of rain. Just hoping our farmers have had some too.
Enjoy the rest of the week!! hugs xx
This is sooooooo gorgeous! LOVE LOVE LOVE that photo and loveeeeeeeeeee the flowered wreath!!!
ReplyDeleteWell we've had a sunny 20C degrees today - so lovely after a cold, cold Winter. But rain again tomorrow which are farmers are desperate for. Now to your glorious page with it's four generations. That's special and something to be truly celebrated. You may have to make a few more so that everyone has a copy! I've had to do that with some extra special photos. Love the floral wreath and the dangling hearts. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBig ole wow! This is absolutely stunning, my friend!
