New Year, New challenges!!
A very good day to you on this the first day of a new month and new year.. I trust you have had a lovely Christmas and welcomed in the new year with hope and a peace in your hearts. And for anybody who chooses a new word for the year, my word has found me.. Last year my word was fear-less, to have less fear.. this year the word that has been coming by my path is PEACE.. It was on my December calendar, and it has just been coming by so clearly.. Even in these days of uncertainty we can still have peace in our hearts when we know Who holds the days in His Hands. Last year there were many days I did not have peace, I have had some personal hard times and I often felt torn and hassled.. This year I really want to pursue peace, and when I find that tension coming, I hope to do all I can to find the place of peace usually in the quiet times with God, listening to praise music and reading His Promises, going for a walk in the country and yes even in sitting and scrapbooking in the quiet of my room.. It wont mean I have no trouble, but a heart felt peace in the midst of the storm.
And so.. I wish for you this year..... His Peace..
I have 2 challenges to put up for the start of the month!
I have become a new design team member for ARCHISCRAPS. I was not looking to join any design teams at this time but when I was asked I took a look at the blog and thought ok, I will give it a go. I like to support those little blogs that put up their challenges each month. The rules are relaxed and they accept pretty much anything, cards, layouts, off the page, canvases and the criteria is a picture and another technique..
For January at ARCHISCRAPS the picture is this..
with the challenge of using something with water, ie paint, mists or any wet medium.. like gelatoes. And you can combine with other challenges that work with the criteria.
So I created a card as life was pretty busy last month..
And the new challenge for SKETCHY BOARDS has gone up on FACEBOOK and it is to use this board for inspiration
some closer views.
inspired by the clocks..
There are lovely little prizes to be won for each of these challenges too.
thanks for coming by,
I do wish you a very Happy New Year,
thank you for any comments you leave me too!
