The challenge for march is..all about the weekend.. what does yours look like, what do you do...?
And to use this sketch..
Well apart from all the jobs on a Saturday that need to get done and I thought that was a bit boring, I thought I would share about my Sundays.. I was brought up in a Christian family and my Mum was a church organist, so it was very rare NOT to go to church on a Sunday, and most times growing up we went twice.. I still believe in going to Church on a Sunday.. it doesn't feel like a Sunday if I don't go for what ever reason.. The title of my layout is Sunday Best.. because as a child I had a set of clothes that were my best clothes and they were for Church on a Sunday.. Hence we still wear our best clothes to Church...
The journalling... Sunday for our Family is a day for getting dressed and going to Chruch.
A Sunday without Church does not feel like a Sunday.
We take time out for God and keep our faith alive.
I hope you have a marvellous weekend, thanks for taking time to come by my blog and thank you so very much for any comments you leave!!
Very nice. Love the b & w toned photo.
ReplyDeleteLizzy I'm sure your daughter is going to look back on this layout with such love for your Sunday tradition and belief. This is truly a beautiful page.
ReplyDeleteomg this is gorgeous lizzy...i love love this
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Lizzy. I love the soft touches of lace that you have used. Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteYep, the B&W goes so well on this page - I love all the fussy cutting & the clock face tucked in there - very neat! My Mum was the church organist, too, Lizzy.....still is at times.....I remember well my 'Sunday Best' clothes and SHOES. Those patent leather shiny ones that you were ONLY allowed to wear on Sundays to church, or Very Special Occasions!!! This LO resonates so strongly with me....if I'd done one, I think I would've done something similar. Great to journal your faith, seeing as its such a big part of who you are:):):) Happy weekend....too hot here.....phew!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful take on the sketch!!! And love the title :D
ReplyDeletehow pretty! love the fussy cutting
ReplyDeleteYEs, this is what our SUndays were like too and we are trying to do the same with the kids now. Its a bit hard during the hot season in my condition but hubby tries to go with the kids even for an hour or 45 minutes so they get into a routine. This is gorgeous. I love the photo. Love the take on the sketch too. Have a great Sunday tomorrow and if I do not speak to you before then, have a happy Easter next Sunday too. xoxo Nadia
