Soul Scrappers Mothers Day Challenge

 Hello there on this cool May day! Not long until we welcome (?) June and Winter!! I have not been in my Scrap room much this month as I have my Mum staying here for a while so I have lots of other things to do! I did manage one layout this month for the challenge over at Soul Scrappers on Facebook for the Mothers Day challenge to create a layout using a photo of my Mum and to also use bling and a doiley...

I used two doileys, this is one of them the other is in the cluster below the photo.. there is also bling on the antique looking frame..

I have used an old Prima bling flourish.. and fussy cut flowers from the papers..

The Scrapbookers Journal Issue 9 - 4 layouts

 Hello there, welcome to May.. the last month of Autumn for me and the mornings are crisp and cool and the days warm up so you have to dress in layers! 

The new edition of the SCRAPBOOKERS JOURNAL  is out today and it is a stunner! Loads of inspiration and a wonderful array of creations.. I have 4 layouts in it this month which I would love to share with you..

The first layout you will find as you go through the pages is for the Vintage Section. I had this lovely photo of my Mum with her Mum (my Grandma) so I thought that would be perfect to capture on a vintagey page.. The photo was taken in the late 1930's as my mum is about 4 or 5 she thinks..

When I think of vintage I think of old laces, doileys and flowers.

The next layout in the Magazine is for a Ribbon challenge.. I had some fine ribbon that I thought I would use on my layout..

I love the romance of a lace up corset so this is how I used the ribbon..

The papers are Prima and I also criss crossed the ribbon along a bottom strip of paper..

The next layout is for the Love section.. I have used a photo of my Grandie and my sons cat. I think she really loved him!!
