Paper Craft Secrets May Challenges - Stamping and Lace and Butterflies

 Gidday! I hope you are having a splendid day.. We have sunshine today.. and I might sound a bit weird for saying that but we have had it seems, weeks of grey skies.. so the blue skies are simply wonderful!!

I have been doing some creating, and I was inspired by this months challenges over at Paper Craft Secrets on Facebook..  I have created two layouts.. One for the stamping challenge and one for the Lace and Butterflies challenge.. and my layouts..

I have used one stamp on the back ground and on the mat layer under my photo.. I think it was a Kaisercraft stamp.. 

Lots of fussy cutting and layering of the flower elements.

This is an older photo of my daughters, but a fav so I scrapped it again!

The second layout is for the Lace and Butterflies challenge..

I have used really old papers and layered them with ripped edges.. I have put lace in a few of the layers and the butterflies are various dies..

and lots of fussy cutting of the flowers from the papers.. seems to be my thing lately.. to do fussy cutting!!

Soul Scrappers May Sketch Challenge

 Hello there on this wet day, again we are having flooding in my area, not as bad as March, but still warnings have gone out and people have been advised to get out or be vigilant.. so I am just coming by to pop up my layout for the Sketch Challenge for SOUL SCRAPPERS on FACEBOOK which looks like

  

I have followed the sketch pretty much...

and some closer views..

I have used some really old papers and did a lot of fussy cutting of the flowers from these papers..

The butterflies are a punch.. a little bit of glitter glue on the flowers for some sparkle.

This is an older photo of my daughter.. I did some pleated paper under the photo and put some rhinestone ribbon for some bling! I am enjoying using these old papers and feel like creating some more with them... so stay tuned!!

Kraft + May Challenge Photo Manipulation

 Hello there, Welcome to May.. that means the middle of Autumn for me.. the nights are getting cooler and the sun is setting sooner!!but it is a pleasant time of the year!

The challenges are up for the new month and for KRAFT + Challenge it certainly was a challenge for me, it took me a while to get something created but when I worked out what I wanted to do it all came together ok!! and the challenge  is..

Photo manipulation.. On a base of Kraft of course.. There are a few free photo editing sites on the internet.. I use IPICCY  and it works well for what I need it for.. 

Soo for my layout, I chose a photo of my Grandie and edited it four times into four different colors taking my inspiration from the top right hand picture of the mood board.. and I printed the photos out and placed them on my page overlapping the photos for some interest.. I then used embellishments in the colors of my photos..

I used texture dies and found flowers and buttons to match the colors.. I have kept my page fairly simple so as not to overwhelm it with too much color..
