C.S.I. : Color, Stories, Inspiration Challenge #269

Hello there,
How are you? well I hope..
It as been a while since I last blogged, and for that matter a while since I have created a layout for a challenge, but today I did.. It has seriously been very hot here, and I have felt so lacking in energy and mojo, but today I sat and created for the January Challenge over at C.S.I. Color, Stories, Inspiration Case File #269 which looks like..

I have used the colors as best as I could match, and the evidence I have used is.. polka dots, floral pattern, stripes, banner, hearts, flowers, string, rub-ons and bows.  The topic is my Dd 18th Birthday..

some closer views.

I was happily surprised by how good the rub-ons were considering how old they are!! A little string bow I made and die cut heart..

18th Birthday.

I am so glad to have sat and created today, I was getting worried that I have forgotten how to scrap, I hope I can get back into the swing of things and do more creating..  And I am hoping and praying for rain, I know a lot of the country has been in the grip of a heat wave for a while now..  I hope things havent been too bad for you..

Thanks for coming by, I know life continues to be busy for us all.. Thanks for the lovely comments you leave me to read, I appreciate each one..

Take care,
and hopefully it wont be too long between posts!!

  1. Lizzy I totally love this, a new fave. Such a gorgeous happy photo and I love how you have scrapped it. Love all the layers and banner, the heart die and how you have done the title. It is just gorgeous. You certainly haven't forgotten how to scrap that is for sure. It is sooo hot, when I come home from work I mainly go into my little craft room with the pedestal fan and fiddle and push a bit of paper around. Have a lovely weekend and try and stay cool x

  2. Beautiful layout, Lizzy! I hope you get relief from the heat soon. It's still winter cold here, although the season has not been as cold these last few years as it has been in the past. Global warming, I'm sure.

  3. What a gorgeous photo and such a beautiful page Lizzy! My goodness, you dear daughter has turned 18 .. where does the time go?? Well, you certainly haven't forgotten how to scrap .. this is so deliciously gorgeous!! Love the bright colours, the great title and the fussy cut flowers. Everything is mixed and matched beautifully and so perfectly in place! Love, love, love this!!
Our weather is a lot more bearable today, thank goodness. We had such a long stretch of heat, it was getting really hard to cope with. We did get a little bit of rain yesterday but nothing to really write home about. I think we're looking at more high temps to come but I don't think they will be as bad as what we've just had. Hopefully not anyway!! Have a fabulous weekend Lizzy .. stay cool!! hugs xx
