Color, Stories Inspiration #261

Hello there, How are you doing this September day! We have had Fathers Day last weekend and Woolworths has not disappointed  by having some Christmas Puddings on sale already!! hehe.. crazy hey??!! Other stores look like they are clearing shelves for... you know what..!!  so we better hang onto our hats cos the rest of the year is gunna fly !! It is extra busy for me as this is my Daughters last year.. year 12 ... exams.... and then formal...  so busy busy busy!!

And speaking of my Daughter...  The new challenge is up and running over at
Color, Stories, Inspiraton #261 and as Scrapmatts are a sponsor we were asked if we would like to join in as guest detectives again this month.. sooo I created a layout for the challenge.

This is the scene and colors, and if you pop over to the C.S.I. BLOG and check out all the inspiration and see all the clues if you can join in...

As the criteria was to document something about school, I found a photo of my DD in year one and created my layout around that..
I used the colors as well as a solid white back ground, ledger paper print, fruit - apples, calendar, clock, film strip, school themed elements, numbers, stamps..

some close ups.

First Grade..
Where has the time gone? Soon I will be scrapping her Graduation!!!

And I would like to share a layout I created just for fun last month and I haven't shared it on my blog yet, it was for my DT work for Scrapmatts and it is a simple page that didnt take too long to create. It is a photo of my Dd and our old Horse Bess who is no longer with us..  for any close ups you can pop over to the SCRAPMATTS BLOG .

Well thanks so much for coming by, and thanks for the comments that I love to read. I appreciate each one!!  I hope you have a lovely weekend..

  4. You know what Lizzy it terrifies me how fast time flies by... more so now that I am a granny. It is so scary and yep the Christmas stuff is starting to show its head here too. Love the CSI layout and I miss the challenges. Next I have to organise my time so that I can take part in challenges again. I have really battled to balance my time between scrapping, family and social media... before you know it the day is gone. So we will try again. I have missed my visits to my favourite blogs and I always love seeing your layouts. Your girl is getting so big too. The school layout is awesome and I love the colours on the second layout too. It is nice to be back here <3

  8. An inspirational school page - I find them difficult to do, yet you make it look easy. From Grade 1 to Graduation in the blink of eye eh! The days rush past faster as I get older and I'm never going to catch up!
