Hello there!! It has been a while since I have blogged I know, I had a bit of a break from scrapping, the weather has been so hot and I just took some time to just have a rest I think.. I got my daughter back to school and my hubby back to work after 10 weeks off with his infected finger, so I am still getting into my scrap groove!!! hehe..
But I began creating again and I have created some cards and two layouts that I would like to share with you.
I want to get back into making cards, I have lots of bits of paper and lots of stickers I really should use up, so I liked the sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #161 which was interesting but I like how the cards turned out..
The sketch..
I created two cards using some flower stickers I have had for soooo long!!!!!
I used my Fiscars square punch for the squares and layered the squares on contrasting colored paper.. Roses and daisy's are among my fav flowers!! Thanks for a great sketch FEELING SKETCHY!!!
The challenge for SCRAP THE BOYS - January grabbed my attention and it is to...
use numbers on your layout.. I felt like doing some mixed media and I found a photo of my son playing the guitar so I created my layout with that..
some closer views..
Numbers on my embellies..
I used two different stencils on the back ground with numbers..
Memories..
I like that photo, unposed and natural of my son strumming a tune.. Thank you SCRAP THE BOYS for a great challenge!
And one more layout using a sketch from MY CREATIVE SKETCHES which is a lovely easy to follow sketch ..
I have used a photo of my daughter from a recent photo shoot we had at home to celebrate her 16th birthday... yes.. i know.. growing up too fast..
some closer views..
Flowers and dies.. and a little bow too..
16.
I enjoyed creating this layout from that lovely sketch so thank you MY CREATIVE SKETCHES !!
Well thank you so much for coming on by, life seems to be galloping along quickly with January nearly over already!! I hope this finds you all well... and thank you for your wonderful comments too which I really enjoy reading!!!!
Wow! You've made up for lost time....your cards are lovely & I those flowers are amazingly 3D looking. I felt sure they were paper ones!!! Adore the page of your boy. It's a brill photo, for sure, & that bg. YUM! Looks fantastic....& I can't believe your little girl is 16. She's really starting to mature, too, eh? Bet it's nice to have the house to YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteWow, Lizzy, you've made up for lost time! The cards are so pretty and the layouts are fabulous! It's very cold here and I'll take that over too hot anytime!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you scrapping again Lizzy. I've been taking a break too, watching the tennis and the cricket and having a bit of a sort out in my Scrap room. But time to get cracking now with deadlines looming. Love, love the cards, they do look real with great dimension. I saw the numbers challenge and went to far as gathering up supplies, but nothing eventuated. Love the grunge look and boy, do you ever rock the purple - that's just a knockout. 39C here yesterday, but a bit cooler today, so I might summon the energy to call on Mr. Mojo to accompany me to the scrap room. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteOh my Lizzy as everyone has said you are making up for lost time! Those cards are just gorgeous....Just loving both your layouts fabulous layers and details in both! Have a great week x

Love the page with your gorgeous daughter too! Mu goodness , she is sixteen already .. where does the time go?? A beautiful page with glorious colours! Our weather has been pretty hot here too but, although it is a bit muggy, it is slightly cooler and more comfortable today and we've had a couple of spots of rain. hugs xx
