FEELING SKETCHY #161, SCRAP THE BOYS & MY CREATIVE SKETCHES Jan..2017

Hello there!! It has been a while since I have blogged I know, I had a bit of a break from scrapping, the weather has been so hot and I just took some time to just have a rest I think..  I got my daughter back to school and my hubby back to work after 10 weeks off with his infected finger, so I am still getting into my scrap groove!!! hehe..

But I began creating again and I have created some cards and two layouts that I would like to share with you.

I want to get back into making cards, I have lots of bits of paper and lots of stickers I really should use up, so I liked the sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #161 which was interesting but I like how the cards turned out..
The sketch..
I created two cards using some flower stickers I have had for soooo long!!!!!

 I used my Fiscars square punch for the squares and layered the squares on contrasting colored paper.. Roses and daisy's are among my fav flowers!! Thanks for a great sketch FEELING SKETCHY!!!

The challenge for SCRAP THE BOYS - January grabbed my attention and it is to...

use numbers on your layout..  I felt like doing some mixed media and I found a photo of my son playing the guitar so I created my layout with that..

I like that photo, unposed and natural of my son strumming a tune..  Thank you SCRAP THE BOYS for a great challenge!

  I have used a photo of my daughter from a recent photo shoot we had at home to celebrate her 16th birthday... yes.. i know..   growing up too fast..

D-LISH SCRAPS JANUARY..

Hello there! I hope you are keeping well.  We have been having heat wave conditions around my way, so it has been an effort to do anything! We have also had some wonderful rain so the grass is so green and today is quite pleasant and not as hot as last week..

I was blessed last month to win a JAP kit from D-LISH SCRAPS and so I went to work creating a layout for this months fabulous mood board which looks like..

My DD with both sets of her Grandparents at Grandparents Day at her school... They are all so proud of her!!

I haven't created a school themed layout for such a long time, it was good to use those embellies, which I have had for many years!!

JANUARY CHALLENGES..!! 2017!!

My goodness, the new year has arrived.. Happy New Year to you all! Did you see the old year out and the new year in?? I did, just by watching tv and being on the ipad and then we watched the fire works from Sydney, and it was time to go to bed...  and just like that....


And so with a new month the Scrapbooking challenges are being revealed..

The challenge for ARCHISCRAPS January is a easy and pretty one,

   and it is to use lace on your creation.. The sponsor this month is

The chipboard I have used is SCRAPMATTS!

And...  the new challenge for KRAFT+ is a fabulous one and it is..

A step back in time..

The photo is of my Husband and I taken when we dressed for the occasion of our (then) church's anniversary, several of the congregation wore old style clothing.. I must say I am glad to be living in today's world, that long skirt and top sure was hot!!
