OFF THE RAILS & SCRAP THE GIRLS Sept..

Hello there,  I hope your day is going well!

I have 2 challenges to put up today..

The challenge over at OFF THE RAILS SCRAPBOOKING is a fabulous mood board which looks like..
I took inspiration from the colors, red black and grey and I also made some flowers inspired by the red gerbera in the center picture.. and my layout...

 I put some hambly on the back ground inspired by the grey branches..

And because 2 Crafty is a sponsor this month I have used a gorgeous 2 Crafty flourish dabbed with black gesso for great texture!

And I loved the challenge for SCRAP THE GIRLS Sept which is a lovely sketch that looks like..
I have stuck closely to the sketch and have lots of fussy cutting on my layout..  The photo is a very special one too..

Memories..

This was the last photo shoot with my doggie Lucy, so the photo is oh so precious now..  The quote was so appropriate too.. Love these Kaiser papers..

and this week our family has welcomed a new little member.. She is fun, full of mischief and mayhem,  she gets me up during the night and she has pretty much wiggled her way into our hearts..  She is not a replacement for Lucy, but she sure has filled the emptiness..   May I introduce you to.......

I am sure you will watch her grow in photos on my layouts in the future..I guess I am one of those people who loves to have dogs around!! I am not used to the getting up at night though... hehe.. bit old for that.. hopefully she will settle all that soon!!

I loved the challenge over at SHOW US YOUR STUFF which is to use...
Black white and one other color..  I had a lovely photo of my Dd and her friend from years ago that took my eye to scrap.... so what color do you think I used for a girly layout!!??

I have used Kaisercraft papers for this layout.. Ric rac, Kaisercraft chipboard baubles painted with gold paint.. and a photo from last Christmas!!

SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD MOOD BOARD SEPT..

A warm Hello to you! thank you for coming by!

I haven't joined in with this challenge for a while..  but I loved this months inspiration!

I was inspired by the fabulous mood board for the challenge over at SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD which is..
I was inspired by the quote, so I used a photo of my daughter when she was on holidays at Mexico and Guatemala in July this year. I have used the earthy colors and i have used script stamping on my background.. I was also inspired to use the string and put my place and date journalling on a tag like the top left picture..You can find the challenge HERE!!!

My daughter had a wonderful time on her holidays and I will probably scrap a few more photos that I have gotten off facebook in the future..

FEELING SKETCHY #128 and KRAFT +

A happy Hello to you, thanks so much for coming on by! I hope your day is going well..

The card sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #128 grabbed my attention with its lovely design..  and it looks like..
I loved the idea of the stitching and eyelets..  however I dont have an eyelet punch and didnt do the stitching but used a Martha Stewart punch that suited the sketch and went with that.. and my card..

The September challenge for KRAFT + is a fabulous sketch and to also use triangles...
I chose to use the sketch flipped upside down and used it like this..

CARDABILITIES #130, 123 CHALLENGE BLOG, SKETCHY BOARDS & WHITE WITH ONE September.

A big hello to you and welcome to September.. for us that means Spring.. warmer days and beautiful flowers!

I have a few challenges to post and I thought I may as well just bulk up this post and put the 4 challenges I am on design teams for!!

Ok.. lets go!!!

The latest sketch for CARDABILITIES #130 is so lovely! ( I know I say that all the time... but they are!!)

 I have used a digi stamp Daisy Rope Stamp which I printed out and fussy cut for my card.. You can see all the Design Team creations and enter your card.. HERE!

The new challenge is up for The 123 CHALLENGE BLOG and it is

To use the color BURGANDY the word SUPER and colored pencils..  well I reckon with this latest craze of coloring in books for grown ups, you could use something from your book for this... but I didnt think of that when I created my layout... instead I thought.....

 water color pencils.. I lightly gessoed my page, then stencilled and then colored in over the stencilling and sprayed with water and used a brush to mix....

My son posed like this.. so I took the photo.. and now I have scrapped it.. never tempt a scrapbooking mum!! She WILL use the photo!!!!
