Guesting at ARTastic and Blue Fern Studios May Sketch.

A big Hello to you, I  hope you are having a magnificent day!

Here we are in the last week of May... humm... is it me or are the days going faster than last year??

This month I was happy to be a guest designer for ARTASTIC CHALLENGE BLOG and if you have never heard of this site then they run a challenge each month and the inspiration is based on a painting and sometimes some other criteria.. They are a lovely bunch over there and an Aussie site so please pop over and check them out and see if you are inspired to join in with their challenge..

This month the inspiration painting is..
MAY inspiration by Sarah Beetson with the criteria of stars..  Well when I saw this painting I thought of myself as a little girl.. I was a little blondie with short hair so I used a photo of myself and as this painting is called Return of the Prince, I just made my title based on being a Princess..  I took inspiration from the colors and also added stars.. and my layout..

Every little girl is a Princess..

Hehe, yep that is me, I am guessing at about 4 years old!! You can see more about the ARTASTIC CHALLENGE HERE..

And I have also created a layout for this months sketch for BLUE FERN STUDIOS which is another fabulous sketch and looks like..

I love Blue Fern papers, I dont have many but I am sure I will add to what I have.. and the chip board.. so pretty...
Anyway I altered the chipboard pieces that I have used with some Tinby Melts and some Zing embossing powder.  I used the Treasured floral frame and some shabby brick bits on my layout..I have used the Montage range of Blue Fern Papers..

some stencilling and misting..
and some fussy cutting of images from the pretty Montage papers..
I also wrapped some thick cotton around the chipboard piece for added texture. And my layout..

I have used foam squares and old cardboard to lift up some of the elements..

    Love your little blonde haired LO! You've captured that whimsical feel with the blue starry background! And wow on your Blue Fern LO - those mixed media bricks!! My goodness they are so affective!

    Stunning work as always Lizzy!! Love your take on the Artastic Challenge ... such a cutie you were!!!! Adorable photo and fabulous colours. The second page .... Wow!! Looooveee the texture you created on the chippies .. simply fantastic!! Another gorgeous photo and so pretty with all the fussy cut flowers and lovely die cuts!! Pure magic!! .. and I agree, the days are definitely going faster and faster each year. Scary!! Hugs xx

    You cutie, you! I love how you scrapped yourself, you little Princess, you:):) And the chippy on your 2nd page with the Tinby melts....fabulous! I just bought my first lot last week - been too scared to use them yet!!!! Love the [presumably] fussy cut flowers around the frame, too:):)
