Scrap the Girls, Lets get Shabby and something exciting for me!

A big hello to you!

I feel like there has been a conspiracy to stop me from getting to my blog the last few days.. very busy..

 We had my Mums 80th birthday on saturday...
which was a wonderful family get together and special time.. and then last night we had my son and his new girlfriend come for tea... so the weekend has flown by and now is the first chance I have had in days to post on my blog..  I have 2 challenges to put up and some thing exciting for me to share!

The October challenge for SCRAP THE GIRLS is a fabulously colorful mood board that looks like..
I went with the 3 primary colors in the squares and created my layout...

Be your own kind of beautiful.

 and the latest challenge for LETS GET SHABBY #59 is to create a shelf.. humm I did not know what this meant until I saw the DT's creations and thought I would create a card...  a Christmas card..  I have used a wood chippie for my shelf and have created a window and my card...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

I hope you can see my teddy sitting on the window shelf.. !!

 and I am so pleased to say it has now been released and is available to purchase.. all the details can be found HERE..  When I saw the sketches and the layouts this morning I must say that this book is well worth getting because if you are like me and love sketches because I got to admit some days the mojo is hiding and I need a good prod to start a layout off, then this has 120 sketches and 60 international designers... and I am so excited to be amongst all that talent!! And I can show you my layout, but the sketch is in the book!! I enjoyed using the sketch and stayed true to the design..

    Good on you with the publication! LOOVELY LO, too:):) And your LGS card is perfection.....looks really, really good....& clever using the wooden 'bracket' like that! LOOOVE your scrap the girls LO, too - I'm rather partial to a feather or two & the colours on the bg with the swirlys looks great AND your Mum is doing pretty darn good for her age....hope I look as good at 80...& GIRLFRIEND>>>>!!!!!!!!!!!!! things are happening up North in a BIG way, then!!!!

    gorgeous layouts and card Lizzy and a BIG congrats on the publication. Love the layout for the sketch in the book, such a gorgeous , happy photo. And gosh I hope I look as good as your Mum when I am 80 ! Off to see the details of the book

    Lizzy, I love how you tackle colour. It's something I find challenging. Love the work you did with the sketches. They help me when my mojo is flat too.
