Sassy Scrapper Mood Board March

Well Hello there! Hang on to your hats because we are about to flip over another month on the calender! The last day of March and I have got one more entry into the challenges for March..

Last week I played around and created a cover for an art journal and so I thought I would use the mood board for
SASSY SCRAPPERS and create a double art journal layout.. Now this is my first try, and I think I can only get better!!! But it was a lot of fun.. although I also learnt I am quite impatient waiting for the texture paste and mists to dry..hehe...

I took inspiration from the colors, from the word 'art' from the flowers and stems and from the frames and created this....

Kaiser Saturday Sketches - March 15th and March 22nd.

A very Good Day to you, thanks for calling by.  It is a rainy day here but I am not complaining.. Good for staying inside and getting some scrapping done..

I have created 2 layouts using the Kaiser Sketches and of course lovely kaiser papers..

The Sketch from MARCH 15 looks like....
and I created my layout using the Lady Rose papers, on Kaisercard Coconut, kaiser stamps. kaiser rhinestone strip and kaiser lace.

and my layout using my favourite range Tea Break papers on Kaisercard Buttercup and I used a rhinestone flourish to add some bling!!

Off the rails, Feeling Sketchy #84 and Stuck?! sketch

Good day to you! Thanks for a popping on by here today..

I have a few challenges to put up that I created over the weekend and this morning..

The latest challenge over at OFF THE RAILS is a 'free for all' challenge which is create anything and have fun.. well I bought an art journal a few weeks ago, just an A3 size one, to create in and learn how to use gelatoes etc and I thought I would try and decorate the cover.. Now be gentle with your comments as I am very much a learner when it comes to mixed media.. But at least I fulfilled one of the criteria for this challenge and that is to have fun... I gessoed and misted and texture pasted and misted and even had a little go at using some shimmer paint that was gifted to me by a lovely scrappy friend..
I thought the only title for my book could be my blog name, and so here is the end result..

All the things I put on the cover were from scraps, from die cuts I had cut out but did not use, so it was good to use some of  them up..

ONCE UPON A SKETCH - The Dash.

The challenges over at Once Upon a Sketch are always ones that challenge me to think personally and this months CHALLENGE is to use this sketch
and use this quote for inspiration..


  Well I have spent quite some time thinking about this quote and life and living, and I was drawn to a poem which has been part of my inspiration this month..
My layout is based on the poem called 'The Dash' and you can read the poem HERE.

Life is made up of 2 dates and a dash. We need to make the most of our dash. What will my dash say about me? I hope it says I have been the girl God designed me to be, and used my dash to be a blessing to everyone who knew me...

Going OFF THE RAILS - blog hop layout and Green and Bling card.

Good evening! Yes it is evening for me! My week is shaping up to be a busy one so I am putting up this post for the 2 challenges I have just done for Off The Rails..
Off the Rails has just had a BLOG HOP which was great to pop around and see the DT's creations.. As we hopped around we were to find the DT's favourite embellishments and then use 4 of them on a layout.
I have used Flowers from Narelle, Buttons from Deena, Bling from Gayle and Doileys from Sue.. and created this layout...

A closer look.. you can see the bling - kaiser rhinestones and kindy glitz, buttons, doileys under my photo and the flowers are collectables or fussy cut from the papers..

and while I had these papers out I created a card for the Off The Rails CARD CHALLENGE which was to use green and bling...

Orange Paperie and Purple Pumpkin

Good day to you on this extra-ordinary HOT day here..  I hope things are good at your place..

I have 2 layouts to put up that I have worked on during last week...

The challenge over at ORANGE PAPERIE is to use a vintage photo with non vintage papers..  I looked up the meaning of vintage and it does mean old or mature, from an era past.. So I have used a photo of my Dads farm that I am guessing was taken before the 1950's of our old house and milking sheds and pig sty's.. I have used a mix of Basic Grey papers.

Feeling Sketchy #83

Hello there on this fine day! I hope you are having a good day!!

The sketch over at FEELING SKETCHY is another great sketch.. I have used it like this..

I have used the new Bo Bunny papers Primrose and loved creating with them.. such pretty papers.. and I have had this photo for years waiting to scrap it.. and now I have!! This is my youngest daughter wearing a dress I bought years before she came into our family.. I remember buying it and putting it in the cupboard and I waited.. and waited.. and waited... and when she finally came into our family she wore it on the day of her dedication..So when we got some Pixie photos done I had to get some photos of  her in this very special dress...

The sketch over at STUCK?! is a lovely one and we are able to combine the sketch with one other challenge that is not a sketch.. So I have combined it with OFF THE RAILS which is to BLING IT UP!!

The March challenge for SCRAP THE GIRLS is a really girly one... it is to use HEARTS AND OR DOILEYS on your layout.. How easy is that? And remember to check the rules before you create as we have had to leave some wonderful layouts out of the voting due to not following the rules. ( which is fair to those who do follow the rules of the challenge site.)

I received a gorgeous mauve heart from CHARMS CREATIONS to use on my layout and so I went with those colors for my layout...
