Good day to you! Thanks so much for coming on by!!
This months challenge for Once Upon A Sketch is to use the sketch and go with the theme of JOURNEY..
The sketch..
I like these challenges because I often spend a long time thinking about what I will scrap about.. This time I thought I would do a layout about my Dad..I have put some facts about his life on the back of the layout as there was just too many for the front...
I titled the layout... The journey of a life time..
The photos are of my Dad when he was about 7 years old, then just after he married Mum and then a photo taken in September this year.. and my journalling...on the back of my layout..
And I came across a challenge run by Jot Magazine which I saw on Kim's blog and it is to create a layout about your greatest view.. lots of interpretations for this I would imagine..
I have always loved horses and I reckon the one of the greatest views is when you are riding high on a horse.. I used a photo of Hannah on our horse...
The greatest view...
I have used those lovely papers by Bo Bunny Gabrielle range...
Thanks for taking the time to come by and as always I do appreciate your comments too!

ReplyDeleteLizzy these two layouts are so lovely I don't know where to start - the one of your dad is a wonderful way to remember him through the ages, right up until today, just gorgeous and the second one is full of detail and beautiful layers - love them both.
ReplyDeleteLove the layout about your dad....and those vintage photos! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the greatest view layout is sooooo sweet! You always have such lovely details on your pages!
Happy week ahead Lizzy!
Nice ones Lizzie! I really, REALLY admire how you can manage to do a male LO, still use flowers - & it works!!! VERY clever! And the 2nd one is cute.....the way you've done your journaling on the side looks really neat, too:):):)
ReplyDeleteLizzy two beautiful layouts. Love the vintage feel of the layout dedicated to your dad. I think that so often we don't realize just how hard life was for many families back in the day, or maybe we don't know how lucky we were but whatever this is a wonderful tribute to a man that you clearly love a whole lot. I love the texture and layers and the vintagey colours of this one and what lovely photos you have of him. The journalling is so special.
ReplyDeleteThe second layout is also beautiful. What a lovely photos and the papers and colours are really beautiful. Thanks for sharing and thanks for playing along with us at OUAS this month. Please load your layout on our OUAS FB page for another chance to win :D

ReplyDeleteWas trying to find new words to describe what I feel about the page about your dad, but Val has put them down so beautifully already so I'm chiming in with her. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of my dad as a little boy, a camera was far too expensive for a family with 13 children. These both projects are really so fantastic Lizzie!
