I have a few layouts for challenges so I shall stop yapping and put up the layouts!!
The sketch for LIFE PAPER SCRAPBOOK was a really lovely one with layers.. and it looks like...
and my layout using photos I took after the floods in January 2011... My DD is standing near some trees that had fallen in the floods in our creek.. I am especially sad about the huge tree in the second photo it is as round as my DD was tall.. but it was no match for the flood waters.. We were blessed to have the army come for a week or so and push the trees up out of the creek bed and they actually cut some timber and took it away with them.. we assumed they were going to cut it up to use to fix bridges or something..Tall timbers.
Well what I saw and ran with was Paris and food so I scrapped a photo of my DD in Paris and she is eating.. guess what?? hehe can you see from the photo?? I added a couple of whimsical creatures to it!!Bon appetit!
And the last layout is for the challenge at PIXELS AND PAPER is to be inspired by this picture..
I found a photo of my youngest holding some yellow flowers so I took out the colors in the photo except for the flowers and scrapped that...Take time to smell the flowers.
you can use darker or lighter shades and a little black or white is ok too!! We only have 3 entries last time I looked !!Thanks so much for coming by, have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for all the wonderful comments you leave me too!

ReplyDeleteOooohhhh!! Lizzy these are all so gorgeous. Hard to imagine that water could have knocked that huge tree down. The flow must have been horrendous. Love the colours on that page. Just gorgeous and the other two pages, apart from the frog's legs ( ughhhh!!) so beautiful too!! Love them all!! oxox

ReplyDeleteOh Lizzy, love this collection of layouts. The tree you lost in the flood is huge......you can only image how strong the force of water was! How cute are those little frogs, what a fun layout. I think I'll just stick to the paper ones too! Gorgeous photos in the last one.....what editing programme do you use? ReplyDeleteThe 2nd one with the frogs legs......looks like the poor froggy on the side better watch out....gorgeous mix of all those bg elements...if I have to pick a fave it's the yellow flower one...you clever cookie!!! The flowers you've used with it are so totally YUMMY:):):) The wedding is over & I'm sooo behind on blogging......still got my sis-in-law [ex] for a few more days, but she's sleeping...!!!
