New Challenge Word ***Holiday***...and an announcement....
I realize that our new challenge word today HOLIDAY has different
meanings throughout the world. Here in the USA the word HOLIDAY mostly
coincides with special days like New Years Day, our Independence Day,
Christmas, etc. I also realize that overseas the word HOLIDAY can mean
something similar to how we use the word vacation. With all of that
said I am excited to see the new layout posts for this challenge. I
would imagine we will see beach pages, Christmas pages and a variety of
others.
Now, before I get on to posting the wonderful and beautiful Design Team
pages, I have an announcement. As many of you know I am due to have a
baby in February. I also have a sixteen month old son and I do work
full-time. I am really starting to feel the strain of not having enough
time. I have written at length about this with my current Design Team
and have contemplated as to how to go forward with BITW. For the moment
I have decided to continue on into the new year; however instead of
having two words per month we are going to change to one word per month.
I have not entirely decided as to what day to release the new word and
am looking for opinions! Please let me know. I know there are many
other challenge sites out there and more pop up nearly every day, so
your ideas as to when would be the best time are very much appreciated.
In addition to one word per month, I will also be looking for new
Design Team members, so in early January we will be having a Design Team
call!! I always love those!! We will not have a new word release in
January and will start again in February.
That was from Wendy the co-coordinator of BITW blog.. Pop on over HERE and have a look at what the DT has come up with using the word Holiday for the title or in journalling or just on the layout...
My layout was created using the new papers from Kaiser Tropicana, they suited my photo which I took when my Hubby and I were in Fiji nearly 10 years ago..Such a beautiful place and I look forward to one day going back there...
I have used the word Holiday and put it on my layout...
and closer...
Thanks so much for all the comments on my last post, I have been busy off doing stuff getting ready for Christmas, shopping, cleaning, wrapping presents, having end of year lunch with friends, getting my hair done, and cooking... and scrapping has been way down the list of things to do!!!

Hey Lizzy - I recognised the Wicked Walu resteraunt at the Warwick as soon as I saw this photo. We have stayed there twice now - in 2002 and just last year in Nov 2011. it really is a paradise (except for the sea snakes - eyuck!). When we first went there 10 years ago I vowed that we would go back - and we did! I love your LO is really does justice to the magic of the Coral Coast! Those flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love this new collection. And what you have done with it is absolutely stunning! This is absolutely breathtaking - SUPER layout!
