This month at
SCRAP THE BOYS the challenge is to use school photos.. Now I love to support as many challenges as I can every month, so I thought I would give this one a go, mainly as I find the male layouts harder to do and I have to think harder as to how to embellish the page... so I thought a school layout would be a great challenge.. These photos are of my son, taken when he was in Year 12 his senior year and he is in his senior jersey...taken in 2002... Yeech!! that means he was last in school 10 years ago!!!

STUCK ON YOU SKETCHES have begun to have a card sketch to try, and as I am trying to get better at cards, I thought I would try their sketch and make a card...

I think I definitely need more practice with cards I reckon!!

ReplyDeleteI really like those layers on your boy's LO....great colour choice....looks great. And NO! You don't need any more practice at cards - these are too good already!!! This is a stunner...going to check out that blog...cards are a quick easy fix for me atm:):):)
ReplyDeleteOh lizzy hello again... WOW there's a mountain of work that's gone into your school page.. I love all your stitching and your banner... heaps of details. I was never a card maker but this year i have made a heap and i am really starting to enjoy it more. I am stilling finding my way and sometimes it really helps the mojo when it down! so keep going i think you will fine it's fun... and i now send these cards out to friends instead of buying them!

ReplyDeleteI Know what u mean about boy pages but I do use flowers on manly pages too. I use brown or blue. I do love your layout a lot especially the burlap banner cool idea

ReplyDeleteGosh love your boy page Lizzy! my DH is such a good sport, just indulges my whimsies and asks what colour of shirt I want him to wear when he sees me with the camera. I stick flowers on all my pages too ;)) Love the hessian banner and the cool embellies. Such a sweet card too, really so lovely! xoxo
