The latest challenge at OUAS HERE is to use the sketch..
and to begin your journalling with the words 'I MISS..." well I still have my parents, my siblings, and yes I have lost very dear people in my life, but when I sat and thought about what I REALLY missed, it was my Dads farm.. yes the home where I grew up, and where I long to go back to... It was my Grandfathers farm, a dairy farm.. and my Dad lost his father when Dad was only 4....So my Grandmother kept the farm going until Dad was old enough to take it over.....Dad sold the farm in 2003, and always wishes he was back there.. so there is a sadness in our hearts for the place where we both grew up...
I miss this place....
This photo was taken not long before the farm was sold... The hill in the background was a favorite place for adventures, and we took visitors up there a lot.. I even rode my horse up there.. The view from the top was magnificent and you could see for miles and miles.. So I hope this fits the criteria, as I really do miss this place...
I used Websters papers cut up and did some stamping as well!
Thanks for your visit and for any comments too!!
This place you miss, seemed like a nice peaceful place, i would miss it too :)

Websters work very well for your LO, too...you sound like you still enjoy country style living with the horse next door. I'm a well and truly converted 'townie' these days:):)

Liz, once again this layout is gorgeous!! I love that you made a page about a special place...I know how you feel, after my grandparents were both gone, we had to sell some of the property, houses that had been in the family since they were built, and it's hard to see other people living in them, since there are so many memories that those walls hold...I am sure your dad will love this page!
ReplyDeleteI can understand why you miss that place looks so cool to grow up.
ReplyDeleteYou made a lovely page with the picture and yummie papers.
