Kraft+ - December = Scrap lift Challenge

 Hello and welcome to December.. well here we are, looking straight to the end of another year and Christmas.. I am not sure how your year has been, but mine has been a difficult one..  but I press on.. a new month with new possibilities!! 

The new challenge for Kraft+ this month is one I hope you find time to join in with.. it is..

A scrap lift of this layout created by Sandra Wallace who was co creator of Kraft + challenge way back 7 years ago... so there is lots of inspiration in this layout... and created on a base of Kraft of course!

I followed the layout pretty closely.. adding some texture to the back ground with plasterers tape and mist.

I also cut some die cuts and fussy cut flowers..

Soul Scrappers Sketch Challenge and One Word Challenge

 Hello there, 

How are things with you? All well I hope.. I am just popping in to share two layouts that I have created this month for the challenges over at Soul Scrappers Challenges on Facebook  and the first one I am sharing is for the Sketch Challenge which looks like......

I had some photos of my Grand daughter and Book Week this year so I thought I would scrap them for this layout..

I left the photos in color so I had to find some papers and ric rak that worked with those colors..

Such a pretty Rainbow Fish!! I have stuck to the sketch pretty closely..

The other layout I would like to share is for the One Word challenge which is to use the letter H, J or P.

I have gone with the letter H for Hannah my Daughter..

I have used an older photo.. I have used Mintay papers. which I have fussy cut some elements and layered them up with old cardboard.

Kraft+ November Challenge - Song Lyrics

 Hello there, and hello to November...It surely is the down hill slide now to Christmas and the end of this year.. I look back on this year with some sadness, I hope your year has been a better one for you..

This month brings new crafty challenges and I would like to share the new one for Kraft+ and it is another good one...

To be inspired by Song Lyrics.. which leaves it open to soo many possibilities.. On a base of Kraft of course..

I guess the way I started was to look at my photos and see if I could find a starting point with a photo, and sure enough I did. I came across a photo of my Grandson who still has the most beautiful blue eyes.. humm .. now a song.. I found the song from Elton John "Baby's got blue eyes.."  As the song goes.."like a deep blue sea on a blue blue day.."

I used blue papers and stencilled some music notes on the back ground to go with the theme of music lyrics..

This picture does not do justice to the blueness of his eyes... Soul Scrappers October - Tic Tac Toe

 Hello there, how are things with you?

 I can't believe how quickly the days are flying by.. I have managed to create a layout for the challenge over at Soul Scrappers on Facebook  so I better put it up on my blog before this month is over.. I have joined in with the Tic Tac Toe challenge which looks like....

I went with the top tow of Butterflies, Circles and Chipboard.

 and just a couple of closer views..

I have used a  chipboard frame , ( I am not sure of the brand)  cut some die cuts of butterflies and circles..

These chipboard flourishes are 2 Crafty that I have had for ages!! I also stencilled butterflies and circles on the back ground..

Kraft+ October Challenge - Tic Tac Toe

 Hello October.. Somehow September disappeared and we turn the calendar over to October.. This year is quickly going.. However we have a few more months of creating to get through!! 

The new challenge for KRAFT + is another fun one and it is..

Tic Tac Toe.. these are always fun.. you can choose to use any straight line, up down side ways slant ways..  and for this I chose the top line of Stamping, flowers and Paint.. (for details of each line pop over to the Kraft + Blog here  ) and on a base of Kraft of course!

You can see the stamping under my embellishments, and lots of white paint flicks and fussy cut flowers from the papers..

Kraft+ Sept Challenge - Color Challenge

 Hello and welcome to Spring.. How I look forward to not feeling so cold in the mornings and enjoying the colors of Spring.. Last month was a very difficult one for myself and family. I do hope September will be a better month for us all..

The new challenge for Kraft+ September is a colorful one and it is..

To use these colors on a base of Kraft.. 

Well I found some papers with these colors and then the photo and off I went creating my page..

The flowers colors were enhanced by some water color pens to add a vibrancy to the colors..

and my layout.. You might have guessed there is a cat in the photo!!

Kraft + August Challenge - Embrace your Handwriting

 Hello, here we are in August. What happened to July!!???

So time for the Kraft Challenge to be shared with you and this month was quite a challenge for me, but a good challenge.. and it is..

Embrace your handwriting.. on a base of Kraft.. I had to think about this one.. but I thought I would journal some thing to my Daughter to encourage her in her role as a Mum...

I used some pretty papers from Mintay, some lace and fussy cut some butterflies..

Soul Scrappers One Word Challenge

 Gidday! How is your day goin? Good I hope.. Well no complaints from me about the weather today, simply a stunning day.. cool but the sky is blue!!

I am just popping up my layout for the challenge over at Soul Scrappers on Facebook that is called One Word challenge and it is to use a letter and use a word starting with that letter as title for your layout..  and the letters this month are C, T or R.. and I chose the letter T for traveller and I have used a photo of my Daughter when she was in Tasmania travelling around last month..

I did some stamping on the back ground using travel themed stamps.. fussy cut some flowers and a little dot of liquid pearls for the centre.

Soul Scrappers Sketch - July

 Hello there, I hope things are going well with you where ever you are.. It is freezin here!! BBRRR!! Middle of winter , and although I am sure other people get a colder winter than I, it sure is very chilly!!! The wood fire is going and that is very comforting!!

I have created a layout for this months Sketch for Soul Scrappers on Facebook and I have followed it closely.. I love a good sketch, it takes a lot of the thinking out of a layout.. just have to find a photo and papers!!! and the sketch looks like..

I did some embossing on the bunting and I like the look of the texture.. I forget to use the embossing folders I have.. mind you I dont have many!! but this script one is a fav..

I have fussy cut flowers from papers, cut some flowers from a die and also used some lace..

Dwell on the beauty of life..

This is my daughter when she had a pregnancy photo shoot for her second child.. I am happy with how this turned out.. Thank you Soul Scrappers for the sketch inspiration to get me to create this layout..

Kraft+ July Challenge - Generational Love..

 Hello to July! Crazy to think we are now into the second half of the year!!  Time to pop up the new challenge for Kraft+ Challenge which I think could be a very popular one... and it is... 

Generational love..  on a base of Kraft...  well this could be a lot of things.. your own Grandparents, you being a Grandparent.. your children and their Grandparents   I have gone with a special photo of my Grandson and his Father and Grandfather.. they were so proud to have a Grandson who will carry the surname... I have used lots of blokey elements..
