Purple Pumpkin Sketch

Hello there on this the second last day of the month.. crikey that has gone so fast! I have managed to get one more layout done and it is for the PURPLE PUMPKIN February sketch and I really loved how different the sketch looked so I had to create a layout for it..

That is such a great sketch! And my layout using another photo of my DD and the horse that used to be here.. just love the emotion in the photo..

I have used the Kaiser papers called confetti so I thought I would put some sparkly little flowers and sequins on the back ground paper.. I perhaps should have made the title in a darker color but not to worry, the letters were cut using my cricut.. (blew some dust off it..hehe)

Kraft it Up, and Kaiser Saturday Sketch #4

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday and so nice of you to come by.

The KRAFT IT UP challenge for this month is to create a layout about something I love.. Humm. well I do love it when my kids are all together as they have busy lives now as young adults and when we get together during the year my heart is happy to see them enjoying each others company..

so my layout..

Love being together..  created on a printed kraft paper from American Crafts..

 

and I really loved the Kaiser sketch #4 which you can find HERE and the sketch looks like..

and my layout using the gorgeous Tea Break papers and a lovely photo of my DD before her year 7 graduation dinner last year...

Live every moment..

 and a bit closer.. the only thing not Kaiser are the doileys and the texture paste under the die cut paper.. even the foam tape is Kaiser!!

Love is a 4 legged word - Page Drafts Love is Everywhere challenge and 123 Challenge February

Hello there, so very nice of you to come by.. I hope your day is going well..

A few weeks ago Emma over at PAGE DRAFTS released some gorgeous sketches as well as a fabulous challenge to go with it..  I was lucky to do a sketch for the release and when I read the guest designers could also join in with the challenge by creating another layout, I thought I would create another layout using a different sketch..

The sketch I used was this one..
and the photos I used for my layout are ones I love as they are so natural and you can see the love and bond that existed between my daughter and the horse we had here.. Her hand is gently touching his chin as he brings his head up to give her a kiss....  the title of my layout is.

Love is a 4 legged word..

 And apologies for the lateness of this challenge going up but the February challenge for 123 CHALLENGE BLOG has just gone up and it will run until 22nd March so you still get a full month to do it.. and it is to use

 

( color - purple, word - spirit and technique is texture paste or anything that adds texture to your layout)

 and my layout..

This month not only is shorter but the days even feel shorter!! I know how busy I feel so I do appreciate you taking a moment to come by.. and always thankful for any comments too..

Feeling Sketchy #80, Off the Rails Card challenge and The Scrapbook Store sketch

A wonderful Wednesday to you where ever you are! Half way through another week already!!
I have a few things to put up today..

The Sketch over at FEELING SKETCHY looks like this.

 The flowers are 3-D stickers of which I have lots!! They are great for cards..

Over at OFF THE RAILS they have a new card challenge which is to use the sketch and color palette.. I loved both so I have created another thank you card..

The sketch over at The Scrapbook Store this month looks like this..
and I created a layout for it  which is a bit different for me, I have followed the sketch pretty closely.. This is a photo of Blue the horse we used to have, and I. He has gone back to his owner now, so this photo is now rather special..

WW1 and LIfePaperScrapbook sketch Feb.

Good morning! Can you believe it is Friday already?? And Happy Valentines Day too, may you know you are loved today!
I have 2 challenges to put on my blog today..

The challenge over at WHITE WITH ONE is to use this color on your layout..
I like using purple but photographing it can be a bit difficult as it can throw to a different shade..
but anyway... my layout...

And the sketch challenge over at LIFEPAPERSCRAPBOOK was really lovely.



 



I have used some papers that were with Australian Scrapbooking Ideas a while ago.. and created this layout.

Scrap Africa Sketch

Just a quick little post to put up the layout I did for the sketch over at SCRAP AFRICA which looks like this.
I must be in the mood for sketches this month, perhaps it is because the hard work has been done with the design!!

My DD was in a bit of a photo shoot last year and I decided to use one of the photos from that..

I have had a play with the back ground and did a bit of masking and paint flicking!! such fun.. the  big gold splots are a new kaiser stamp.. the others are just flicked with glimmer mist.. loved the sketch!!

Feeling Sketchy #79 and Stuck?! Feb 1st

Hello there, lovely to see you here!

The sketch over at FEELING SKETCHY#79 is a lovely one and I seem to enjoy the change that making cards brings..

 I have used some dies in the centre and a 3-d flower sticker with a little bow.. love bows on cards!

And the sketch for STUCK?! Feb 1st was a good one but I flipped it to look like this..

Loads of texture in the back ground with masks and stamps..

Life seems to be busy of late so I do appreciate you coming by.  I have Miss N back at school and we also had my Dad in Hospital for 3 days with an infection.. He is home now thankfully.. Thanks for dropping by and also for taking a minute to leave a comment too..

Scrap the Girls February Challenge..

Hello and thanks for dropping by.. By crikey I had better get my A into Gear and get the challenge up for
SCRAP THE GIRLS this month.. And it is a photo prompt.. and you can take this so many ways...

You can use the colors, the textures from the bricks, have a wall on your layout.. it is up to you!!

My layout was inspired by the colors and the bricks. I used one of Kaiser's brick wall papers, put a layer of gesso on it and went from there..

 A photo of my gorgeous girls! So I hope you get a chance to join in this month!

A pinch and a punch for the 1st of the month, and this month is known as the month of Love!
I have something very exciting to share...

and my layout is a tribute to 2 people who have lived a life of love with each other.. my Dad and Mum. They have been married for 59 years and although life has not been easy, they have walked the journey together.. what an example of love...
