Hi there, well it is almost the end of another month...they seem to go by so fast!! I have done the KRAFT IT UP June challenge which is is use 3 photos, 3 different alphas, a title with 3 or more words and a masked background.. I took some photos of my DD out in the rain the other day and I was eager to use them... so my layout...
Walking in the rain...
I used a mask for the background and then went a bit wild to get the glimmer mist to run, and the rain drops have been in my stash for years and years so I am glad to finally use them.. lots of punches and dies and a gorgeous Scrapmatts Parasol, and some really old flowers as well!!
and a bit closer.. I love that Parasol... knew I should have bought a few of them from the Craft show in June!!
Thanks for dropping in.... and thank you for the lovely comments which I love to read!!

Fabulous Fifties - OUAS June challenge
The June challenge for OUAS is to use the sketch provided and the theme is birthdays... I created a layout based on the fact that my 2 sisters and I are now all in our Fifties... Yep I had the golden birthday in January, and I used a photo of the 3 of us taken at my Birthday lunch in January... The journalling talks about how we are now the 'Golden Girls' as we are now all in our 50's, and I used the sketch like this.....
Oh yeah!!! the Fabulous Fifties!!!
and a close up of the journalling........
Well the rain is still coming down today, so if you cant beat em, join em!! I got my DD to get dressed and I took some rainy day photos!! hehe!!
I hope your day is great, even if the weather isnt!!
and thanks for any lovely comments too!!

New do - June 123 challenge
While I wait for some mist to dry I remembered I did this challenge last week.. It is for the 123 Challenge for June which is to use the word CHANGE the color blue and some washi tape.. I was well into the layout and remembered I didnt have any washi tape, ( I had some in an order from Anna's!!) and so I used some surgical tape.. I hope that is ok.. similar to washi tape.. sticky on one side for sticking at least!!haha!!
I have the most beautiful daughter, who is always too busy to let me take a photo of her, so these photos I had to get from facebook... (can I get some sympathy?? haha!!) Her hair was quite long and she went and got a trim and some color in the ends... and it looks good!! So my layout is on her.............
New do....
I have used a gorgeous aqua blue and the word change is in my journalling.. and the tape is under the title...
I have used all sorts of things on here, old stuff and new dies..a bit of mist too!
Thanks for coming by, and I always am thankful for your comments!!

Daring you to scrap June challenge
This month over at Daring You to Scrap the challenge is to scrap about yourself and use one word to describe yourself.... well I don't do many layouts on myself so I took up the dare and created this layout.. I grew up on a dairy farm and have lived in a rural setting all my life.. I live on 5 acres and just love the peace and fresh air.. so I guess I describe myself as..................
Just a little bit COUNTRY....
and a close up....
I have added some things that remind me of growing up on the farm.... like the wheat and corn which my Dad often grew, and of course the cream cans that he put the cream in to take to the butter factory.. and I have a perm here, used to love getting a perm in my hair!! and our dear old Muffin, who has since passed away... so I love my peaceful place, I love my horses... I am just a little bit country!!!
I hope your day is going great whatever you are up to!!
Thanks for saying Hi too!!

"Everyone deserves to be loved no matter the color of their skin......"
I printed two photos, one was 5 by 7 and put a 4 by 6 on top of it..Lots of misting, and kaiser products..
I hope you pop on over to see what the other design team have created and I look forward to seeing your creation using the word COLOR!!!

Together - STG'S June challenge and some cards!
Yesterday was cold wet and a great day to sit inside and scrap!! So I created a layout for the June STG'S challenge which was to scrap a photo of girls being outside.. I had this photo of 2 of my daughters taken at Queens Park Botanical gardens on Fathers Day last year and thought I would use it.. I also had a play with some new goodies from the Scrap show, new dies, new MS punches, new Pink Paislee papers and a Manor House flower..
Together....
and I have also created some cards!! yes! Me!! Cards!! I surprise myself!! I am still learning how to put things on such a small area, but I will keep trying!!
This one is for the FWAB June sketch which looks like this..
and my card looks like this... (the criteria for this challenge is to use the sketch and a FWAB product..and they have a random draw and you could win a lovely pack of FWAB goodies!!! )
and two other cards I made... one is a thank you for my DD teacher and the other is just one to have on hand for any occasion...
Thanks for dropping by, and as always thank you for your lovely comments!!

You are beautiful - Scrapfriends sketch #2 June
Hello there! I hope your day is going great.. I can't believe it is Wednesday already, half way through another week...
The next layout I have created is based on the SCRAPFRIENDS sketch for June which looks like this....
and my layout is....
You are beautiful.
and a bit closer....
I love that cute little bee in there!!!
The photos were taken in the sun at Caloundra in January when we were on holidays.. the sun was so bright and made the photos soft, which I really didn't mind.. I have used 3 of the same photo, and am quite happy with how this turned out... (I cant say the same for what I was trying to do today though!!!haha!!)
A few more days until the Scrapbooking Convention in Brisbane...http://www.scrapbookexpo.com.au/, this is my one day of the year where I escape from reality and get intoxicated on all things scrappy.. and of course would love to say Hi to anyone who visits me on my blog.. I reckon we all should wear names tags so we can just say Hi to everyone!!
Thanks for dropping by, and thanks to anyone who stops and leaves a little note.. Happy Hump day!!

Bird is the Word "CHANGE" and some news!
The new word for BITW is the word CHANGE... So many possibilities to use this word, in your title or in your journalling... and my layout for this challenge is also a guest designer role as I was invited to create a layout a little while ago.. but my next layout for BITW will be as one of the Design Team.. I am so excited to announce I have been accepted into the wonderful new design team.. As you may know, I just love BITW challenges.. I love thinking up different ways to use the chosen word each fortnight.. And so I look forward to hopefully inspiring you with all the other talented girls on the BIRD DT ..
My photo is of my Mum when she was a teenager.. I just love the 50's style of dress for women.. In the photo Mum is on her way to work, little hat, gloves. tiny waist and flowing long skirt...
FASHION CHANGES, BUT STYLE ENDURES... (Co Co Chanel)
I hope you can join in with the BITW challenge and use the word CHANGE/S..
Thanks for coming by, and thank you for taking the time to leave a little comment!!

SWAT sketch for June..
Hello New Month... and new challenges.. and as DT for SWAT I am putting up the new sketch for June.. which is a beautie...and another trendy one... with out further a do........
the sketch..
and the twist is to use fabric on your layout somewhere..
and my take on the sketch.....
I have used lace in two of my squares..
If you have a copy of last months Scrapbooking Magazine you will find an article on creating these squares..
If I remember correctly I first saw this design feature on Leeane Pearce's blog HERE and I was captivated by how wonderful they looked...and then she did a canvas HERE which looks so amazing.. I think Leeane is a leader in scrapbooking and a fabulously talented scrapper!
So if you didn't get the magazine, I have copied off the article for you...
While I have done my layout using a square pattern the diamond pattern looks better I think.. And you need to use double sided patterned papers... so basically you need something to make your circle, (depending on the size you want,) and a square template to go in the middle to fold the edges down...(I used cardboard from my breakfast cereal box!) I hope these hints are a help, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
