Hi there.. it has been a while since i last posted...i hope this finds you all well... this last weekend i was lucky to go on a scrap retreat with 5 other girls at Bribie Island.. and it was a wonderful time..i had never been on one before, so nearly had a break down trying to work out what to take.. but one big suitcase later.. i was packed!!
this is us! thank you girls for a great weekend and fabulous company!
so what did i get done you may ask? well i actually did get something done! the finishing touches were added at home but i did get 3 layouts almost finished.
we had challenges set before we went. a sketch, a color, and a technique..
the sketch was a kaiser one..
and my layout....
the technique was to use sewing on the layout..
and the color was to use a dark brown, terracotta, light blue and cream. my sister has given me some precious old photos and i used one of my mum on her wedding day with her father (my Grandfather) so i have used this for a vintage look..
thanks for popping in.. and thanks for all the comments on my last post.. i do try and return the love.. so thank you...

once upon a sketch may challenge..
Hi all.. i have been busy with my friends album.. just doing the layouts for her has been a labour of love as my friend is one of those people who just are so precious.. i hope you have someone like that in your life too...so when i saw the sketch from http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/may-1st-challenge-meet-our-may-guest.html i thought i would use it for the next two pages in my friends album.. yes that is right.. i have done a double.. i don't usually do doubles, but for this album i am.. so this is the sketch that inspired me.. and we had to use hand written journalling on a journalling spot..
My dear friend Marlene is a single mum and she and her daughter have a special bond which i hope is captured in these layouts..
thanks for taking the time to pop in and please let me know you were here so i can come to your place too!!xx
