June Challenges - Soul Scrappers, What's in the Bickie Tin and Black Magic Sketches

Good afternon, on this cool winters saturday. I hope you are keeping warm where ever you are from! We sure know it is winter here, had a few frosts, the lawn is brown and the mornings and evenings are crisp!

I have managed to create 3 layouts for 3 different Challenges so far this month..

The first layout is for Soul Scrappers on Facebook and it is for the One Word challenge and the challenge this month is to use either a F, Y or J word for the title of your layout.. I went with a Y for Yummy as I had a cute photo of my grandie when she was younger eating spaghetti! She loved it smothered in garlic butter!! With her hands of course!!

A closer view..

Yummy

Fussy cut flowers layered and I had the green doiley so it matched the photo so I used that too.. such a fun word to use this month!!

The next challenge is for Whats in the Bickie Tin on Facebook  and it is to be inspired by something on the moodboard..

Well the first thing I noticed was the gears and cogs with the rusty colors and so I am sure you will see the inspiration in my layout..

a closer view.

I have had these papers for such a long time, and I cut cogs out from dies to add to my layout..

Boys rule.

I thought my Grandson standing in front of the big wheel matched the whole inspiration of my layout as well..

And the 3rd layout is for a new challenge that has started on Facebook called Black Magic Sketches  and the challenge is to be inspired by the sketch and to use at least 2 of the colors and the base must be black cardstock. The challenge looks like..

A closer view

I have used the blue and the butter yellow..

Smile

Just a little bit of stencilling around the circle.. I hope you can pop over and check out this new challenge and give it a go too.

Thanks for coming by, I hope life is going ok for you.. busy busy busy here! But I need to make time to create and unwind! Until next time.. do take care..

Soul Scrapper Challenges and Whats in the Bickie Tin

Hello there, How is your day goin? The month of May is galloping away and I am just coming by to pop up 3 layouts I have created for this months challenges.. I have 2 for Soul Scrappers on Facebook  and 1 for Whats in the Bickie Tin  .

The first layout is for the Sketch for Soul Scrappers which looks like..

What a great sketch! I found 2 photos to fit the sketch and away I went and created a fun page of my Grandson..  There arent any close ups as the layout is simple as I have followed the sketch pretty closely!

Wild & Free

These papers are really old and if you have been scrapping for a while you just might have them in your stash too.. Dont let the angelic photos fool you, my grandson is a cyclone!! hehe! full of energy and only one speed.. Flat out!!!

The next layout is for the One Word challenge for Soul Scrappers and we were to pick from M, R or C..  I have used the letter R for my One Word title!! I have used a bit of a slang word, but seeing I cut it out from the papers I figured it is a word!!

Rawr (as in Roar!!!)

I have used Kaisercraft papers for this page and the dinosaurs are printables I got off the internet.. I got a bit stuck with this layout, but in the end I am happy enough with how this turned out!

The last layout is for the challenge over at Whats in the Bickie Tin  and this month it is a Color Palette for us to use for our layout which looks like..

I went with the blue, greens and sandy colors with a hint of the grey from the wood grain..

I have a closer view of a cluster..

The flowers are printables I got off the internet..

So dear to me

This is one of my Daughters and her Grandma.. my Mum.. precious moments..

Well thats it for me for now.. The end of the month is quickly coming and I hope to do some more creating when I can..
Thanks for dropping by, do take care.. until next time..

I love this photo, my parents look so young and happy on their Wedding Day over 70 years ago on 1st January 1955..

The next layout is in the Sketch section. My layout is on page 45..

a closer view

Lots of layers, fussy cutting and stamping.

Lovely

I love this cheeky gap smile!

My next layout is found in the Moodboard Section on page 53..  I did create this with the call out for layouts using stencils but it was put in the Moodboard Section..

A closer view.

I used a circle stencil and circle texture die on my page, to go with my photo.

Moments

Soul Scrappers One Word Challenge

Good evening, I trust things are going well for you!!!

I am just popping in to add another layout I have managed to create for the challenge over at Soul Scrappers on Facebook  for the One Word challenge.. I can't believe how quickly this month has flown by!! I had thought I would get a few more layouts done but I only managed one more!!

This month we were to use either D,A or S for the one word title and I found this photo of my Grandie, and well she was kinda showing lots of attitude, so I had to use the word Sassy for the title for my layout..

a closer view...

Sassy

A mix of papers and embellishments that I have had for many years.. film strip dies are always a fav and butterflies are fun too.  Thank you to Soul Scrappers for another great challenge, I guess the new month is around the corner, so I will see how many layouts I can do for next month!

Thanks for dropping by, as always, do take care.. until next time..

Whats in the Bickie Tin April Challenge

Hello there,  on this Easter Saturday. I hope your weekend is going well, and if you remember and celebrate the sacredness of this weekend, I pray it is a blessed time for you.

I have a layout to share today and it is for the challenge at Whats in the Bickie Tin on Facebook   and it is a Tic Tac Toe this month..

I went with the bottom row, tearing, stamping and metal charm..  I found a photo of my Grandie on her first day of school last year, so I thought I had better scrap this special memory..

a closer view of the metal key charms..

You can also see the tearing of the papers and stamping..

Star Student

My they grow up too fast! and she is doing well at school, now being in year 2 this year.. I must try and keep up with the school photos!!

Whats in the Bickie Tin & Soul Scrappers Challenges

Hello how are you today? Since I was last on here, we have had a lot of rain, and floods in some areas, while the rain was needed, the floods are not.. It was so good to see the sunshine when the rains had stopped.. But while it was raining, I got into my scrap room and did some creating for challenges this month.

The first layout I would like to share is for Whats in the Bickie Tin   and it is a fabulous sketch which looks like.. and we are to add some chipboard..

What a great sketch! I kept to the sketch pretty much!

a little closer view.

The chipboard title and kite is from Scrapmatts painted with gesso.

Little man

I like male layouts pretty simple and when the photo is that cute you don't need much on the page!!  Some cute little car/plane stickers and some stencilled and die cut stars.. I have a lot of kraft cardstock from when I was on the design team, so I thought I had better try and use some up. This is my grandson photo from a little while ago now..

The next layouts I would like to share are from the challenges over at Soul Scrappers on Facebook  and the first one is for the One Word challenge which is to create a layout and the title has to be one word using Q,V or B and I have gone with the word Blessed.. cos when you are a grandparent you are blessed!!

a closer view.

A little cluster on my page..

Blessed

Grandkids are so much fun and I love this photo taken one afternoon when they came to visit..

The next layout is for the challenge to use the sketch which looks like

I stuck to the sketch pretty much and used some old papers from my stash..

a closer view

fussy cut flowers and die cuts..

My Happy Place

I am happy how this turned out, I thought it might have been too busy with those papers but the plain papers on the right side give it a bit of eye rest..

and the next layout I am sharing with you is for the challenge TicTacToe which looks like..

I went down the right hand side - three word title, paint and rub ons..

a closer view

For the back ground I used some blue kaisercraft paint and used a spatula and roughly spread the paint out, then I added some white paint to lighten it and then some splats in white paint.. then I used rub ons from 49&Market to cover over the paint..

Oh happy day

This was a lot of fun to create and I am happy with how the back ground and rub ons over the paint turned out..

Well thankyou to Whats in the Bickie Tin and Soul Scrappers for great challenges that I enjoyed created while the rain poured down last week! I will see if I can get any more layouts done this month, but I reckon the days are just flying by!

Thanks for dropping by, do take care.. until next time..

Hello to marvellous March, February flew by so quickly.. Now we are heading into Autumn but Summer is holding on.. A drop or two of rain would be welcome here too..

The latest edition of The Scrapbookers Journal Issue 14  is out now and I have two layouts in it this time that I would like to share with you..

The first layout is on page 20 and I have used a beautiful photo of my Mum when she was a teenager, a long time ago  as she is now 90. This was for the twine, texture and ribbon section.

a couple closer views..

I have used some fabulous 49andMarket papers and embellishments.

Memorable moments

My Mum sure was a beauty and the papers and embellishments from 49and Market helped create this page.. I have rubons on the back ground as well as stamping, some lace and some string on the tag..

The next layout is on page 37 and it is for the Florals section.

a couple of closer views.

One of the floral clusters.

The fussy cut flowers and leaves are actually printables I got off the internet.. the papers are Kaisercraft.

Lifes little moments.

I have used hexagon shapes in a circle with fussy cut flowers and leaves around the edge and lots of white space on this layout..

Make sure you check out the The Scrapbookers Journal on Facebook  which has lots of different styles and lots of inspiration, and see what the next issue's themes are, maybe you will be featured with your creating!
