November Challenges, and a Publication in Scrapbookers Journal

 Hello there, I hope this finds you well and enjoying the last couple of days of November before we turn the calendar over to the last month of the year and enter into the festive season.. I for one, do not feel like Christmas, but it is coming ready or not.. This year has flown by, with a few ups and downs along the way, as I am sure we all have had.. But Christmas can be a kind of reset, before the new year, and I pray this year you will have a blessed Christmas season.. and can ponder on the real reason for the season..

Now on to sharing some layouts I have created this month.. The first one is for the challenge over at Black Magic Sketches on Facebook which looks like..

A sketch and a color scheme, to use at least 2 of the colors and be inspired by the sketch.. I have used mainly the brown and the bluey green and stuck pretty closely to the sketch.

I have used a Charms Creations heart and tab on my page.. You can find Charms Creations on Facebook HERE!!!  Hand made embellishments a little local business.. (just a free plug!!!)

The next layout is for a challenge over at Soul Scrappers on Facebook and I chose to create for the Tic tac Toe which looks like.. 

I went down the middle row, chipboard, one photo and spray ink. I used the ink with a stencil and then I flicked it over my page, and the chipboard is from Kaisercraft and Scrapmatts.

The next challenge I have created a layout for is for Whats in the Bickie Tin  and this month it is a Tic Tac Toe and looks like..

I went with the first row down, string, chipboard and paint.. I began my layout by putting dabs of green and white  Kaisercraft paint on my page and using a spatula wiped over the back ground adding more white until I was happy with the color, then I had to let that dry before adding some stamping and rub ons to the back ground. I also painted the chipboard with water colors, I am not sure of the brand of chipboard, it has been in my stash for years!!!

I have used the lovely 49and Market papers Botanical Buzz.

and lastly I had a layout in the Scrapbookers Journal online mag  just in the Gallery section.. Always a thrill to see a layout join many others in this online magazine.. Issue 18 page 42..

October Challenges!

 Well here we are at the end of another month that seems to have gone by sooo quickly! It was a hot month, and now as I type the storms are rumbling by, thankfully no hail for us, but others are showing the rocks from the sky on facebook.. so I hope you are all safe and well...

I have 3 challenges I have managed to do this month.. I have been creating cards which seems to have become the new creative addiction!! A really good way to create and use up the many scraps of paper and stickers I have sitting around in my scrap room!! but anyhooo I must share my layouts before this storm gets any worse!

The first layout is for WHATS IN THE BICKIE TIN  and it is a really pretty mood board this month..

This is such a girly pinky mood board! So I took my inspiration from the pink and the bows and the girly feel!

The next layout is for the challenge over at BLACK MAGIC SKETCHES and it looks like

To use this sketch on black cardstock and use at least two of the colors..

September Challenges

 Gidday there! How are things with you? As well as can be I do hope! And yet again, I find myself popping my layouts up just before the end of another month, how does the month go by so quickly? I sure would like to know!!

anyhooo.. I have 3 layouts to share with you for 3 challenges I have joined in with this month.

The first layout is for the BLACK MAGIC SKETCHES ON FACEBOOK  and it is.

Be inspired by the sketch and use at least 2 of the colors and on black cardstock.. I have rotated the sketch anti clock wise once to suit my photos.. I have used a really old Kaisercraft range of papers, I cant even begin to think how old these papers are!! But they suited the colors and photos!!

Oh this little munchkin will soon be 4!! Where has that time gone!!

The next layout I would like to share is for the challenge over at SOUL SCRAPPERS ON FACEBOOK  and it is to scrap a photo of a beloved dog or cat.. 

I had a photo of my DD  and her dog who is my Grand dog so I thought I would scrap a layout for her!

And the last layout I would like to share is for the challenge over at WHAT'S IN THE BICKIE TIN         which is to use 1 photo, 2 clusters and 3 word title..  Well this was fun!!

I enjoyed creating this page, and yes the photo was taken several years ago, my grandie is now 7!!

Thanks for great challenges again this month, I do challenge myself to create, to take the time for doing some scrapping as it is a good time to escape the stresses of life!

August Challenges

 Howdi! How are you all doin' this fine day. I cannot believe that we are almost at the end of August already, this month flew by so fast! Or maybe I am getting slower?? Humm not sure perhaps a mix of both!! Sooo I had better get in and load my layouts that I have created for 3 challenges this month before this month runs out!! Mind you, I am looking forward to Spring in my neck of the woods, but the wintery days are not over yet!!

The first layout is for the challenges over at Black Magic Sketches on Facebook  and it is..

To be inspired by this sketch, and use at least 2 of the colors on black cardstock base.. I have kinda stuck to the sketch, but I have used two portrait photos instead..

I have set myself a goal to do at least 3 challenge layouts a month, so far I am keeping that goal.. My creative time gets shared with gardening which I love, so as Spring comes along, humm the garden might get a bit more of my time! but I love it!

The Scrapbookers Journal, Soul Scrappers Sketch, Black Magic Sketches and Whats in the Bickie Tin.

 Howdi ya all! I hope you are doing as well as can be.. It is very wintery here, which is good for getting some creating done! I have a few layouts to share with you.. so here I go!!!

The first layout is one I created for the last Scrapbookers Journal Issue 16 and it was for the stamping section on page 36. I had a photo of my Dear Dad and me  and I wanted to scrap this photo.. so I got my supplies and got about creating.. I did some stamping on the back ground, not a lot of stamping, but just some to add some interest.. The flowers were fussy cut printables, something I have been using lately.. There are several sites on facebook that are free for personal use..

I miss my Dad, he has been gone nearly 3 years.. a huge emptiness in my life.. but I know I will see him again!!

The next layout I would like to share is for another sketch challenge for Black Magic Sketches on Facebook which also has a color criteria too.. and it looks like..

I kept fairly close to the sketch, but I used two photos instead of three..
