Hello there, how is your day going? Great I hope..
Last week I enjoyed a lovely week away at the beach, so now I have to get back into the swing of things and catch up on blogs and share a layout I created before I went away. I did this layout for the challenge over at MORE THAN WORDS challenge which is all about New Beginnings and to use Washi Tape..
Well what a good excuse to get out some Washi and use it! My inspiration for New Beginnings was from a photo of my Daughter and her Husband on their Wedding Day.. We were waiting for this day but Covid caused all sorts of problems with Border closures, lock downs and sadly they called off the big Wedding day.. but then they decided to go ahead with just a few witnesses in a private ceremony.. I have used one of the photos from their photographer for this layout.. A wedding surely is a New Beginning!!
a couple of closer views.
I have used a few different washi tapes, you can see the music one and the black script one in this photo.
Special Day.
I was inspired by the photo and the amazing building to use black to add some drama to my layout.
Thanks to MORE THAN WORDS for this challenge which inspired me to scrap this beautiful photo of my Daughter and her Husband on their Wedding day!!
Thanks for dropping by, and thanks for the lovely comments you leave me..
take care.
until next time..
Oh wow, Lizzy! What a gorgeous photo of your daughter and new husband on their wedding day. I am so happy that they were able to have a private ceremony with everything going on in this world today. Your page is absolutely beautiful - I love the way you used your washi tape here! And I especially like how you added your lovely black accents! Thank you so much for joining us at More Than Words this month!
ReplyDeleteHi Lizzy! Lucky you to have had a week at the beach. Must have been beautiful! Our weather has been a bit topsy turvy. We had a few boiling hot days and then came the wettest day on record for 50 years! Crazy!! But the rain was very welcome!!
ReplyDeleteThis page is just gorgeous! I love the black & white theme and the fabulously fun photo! Must have been a bit sad that they could not have their big wedding but I bet it was still a most wonderful day. Love your take on the board! Have a great week!! xx

Wow Lizzy - you nailed the 'drama' idea! This is fabulous! I didn't know your daughter got married (have I been hiding under a rock?) Just think, her covid wedding will probably be all the more memorable for the changes that had to be made.
