I have one of those steel rulers with the jagged edges that give you a really good ripped edge when you use it to rip paper so I went a bit crazy and created lots of strips of paper and layered them and created my layout...

More Than Words - January 2021

Hello there,  how is your day going? Great I hope..

Last week I enjoyed a lovely week away at the beach, so now I have to get back into the swing of things and catch up on blogs and share a layout I created before I went away. I did this layout for the challenge over at MORE THAN WORDS challenge which is all about New Beginnings and to use Washi Tape..

Well what a good excuse to get out some Washi and use it! My inspiration for New Beginnings was from a photo of my Daughter and her Husband on their Wedding Day.. We were waiting for this day but Covid caused all sorts of problems with Border closures, lock downs and sadly they called off the big Wedding day.. but then they decided to go ahead with just a few witnesses in a private ceremony.. I have used one of the photos from their photographer for this layout.. A wedding surely is a New Beginning!!

a couple of closer views.

I have used a few different washi tapes, you can see the music one and the black script one in this photo.

 Special Day.

I was inspired by the photo and the amazing building to use black to add some drama to my layout.

Thanks to MORE THAN WORDS for this challenge which inspired me to scrap this beautiful photo of my Daughter and her Husband on their Wedding day!!

Thanks for dropping by, and thanks for the lovely comments you leave me..

take care.

until next time..

2021! Kraft+ January Challenge

 Happy New Year!!

Here we are in a New Year, a brand new chapter, I truly hope we all write a great one!

The first layout I would like to share is this months challenge for KRAFT+ and it is a fabulous one to start the year with, and it is..

To be inspired by these Coke a Cola adverts..  Isn't this mood board beautifully done!? And of course the base needs to be Kraft..

I was stuck for a while until I sat and stared at the graphic in the top left area.. the flourishes, the colors, the splash of yellow.. I found some papers and did lots of fussy cutting of the flourishes on the papers and away I went..

some closer views.

Some yellow spats on the back ground.

A close up of the flourishes and layers.

I had fun creating this layout once I got started.. You can find lots of inspiration from the Design Team over on the KRAFT+ BLOG here!!! and you can pop over to the KRAFT+ Facebook Group here!!!  and share with us your layout and join in with us this month!

Thanks for coming by, I hope your New Year is off to a great start!

Thanks for coming by and yes thank you for the lovely comments you leave me to read!

Until next time.

What's in the Bickie Tin /More Than Words December Challenge

 Hello there!

Merry Christmas to your Home from my Home!

I managed to do some creating last week or maybe the week before, I dunno! Cant keep track of the days!! And this layout is for the Challenge over at WHATS IN THE BICKIE TIN on Facebook  which is to use Gold/Silver, add a bow and use a stamp..  And it is also for the challenge over at

MORE THAN WORDS which is..

To be inspired by childhood and to use gold..

I have used a new photo of my Grandie in front of her Christmas tree this year and her eyes are full of excitement of the season. Children bring out something wonderful in the festive season so that is the inspiration for the childhood part.. and you will see I have used lots of gold.

some closer views..

Gold, stamping and bows..

The light in a Childs eyes is all it takes to make Christmas a wondrous time of the year.

I love this photo and kept the design of the page  simple. The quote is from the internet and I changed it a bit to suit my thoughts..

Thanks for coming by, I really hope you have a lovely rest of this week as we go into Christmas Day.

Thanks for your support of my little blog this year, I really appreciate each one of your visits and comments..

God Bless you and yours this Christmas..

December Scrapmatts Creating.

 Hello there!

How is everything going as we quickly approach Christmas Day? It is going to be here before we know it, and I am not organized, in fact I feel I am the least organized ever!  I hope to pull it all together this week and at least write a bit of a time line for what I have to do! And not to stress, that is NOT the reason for the season!

I am just popping up my two layouts that I created for Scrapmatts Design Team work for this month.. I have closer views and details over on the SCRAPMATTS BLOG HERE!

The first layout is using a lovely photo of my Grandie and her Daddy looking at some flowers in a pot.. a special moment..

Love blooms here.

and the second layout is using a really old photo of my kids.. I wanted to do a Christmas layout but found I didn't have much left in my Christmas chippies so I used other Scrapmatts chipboard and I think it turned out ok!

Merry Christmas!

I love this old photo.. time does go fast..

Well I appreciate you taking a moment to drop by, thank you to those who leave a comment they warm my heart.. Please take care, and if I dont get back before then..

Have a very merry Christmas!
