Feeling Sketchy #68, FWAB and 1-2-3 Get Scrappy August..

Well a fabulous friday to you all.. Another week has flown by yet again, and this weekend sees a new month so quickly arrive, and for us Spring!! Yeppee!!

This week in my scrappy time I have created for a few challenges...

The sketch for FEELING SKETCHY has layers and looks like..
and my card using Kaiser Christmas papers from last year!!

a simple card and I think the cherub looks cute!

Flourish with a bling has a monthly challenge and I don't get to do it much but I thought I would this month..It is to use a quote on your layout and of course FWAB products..
  So I have used this quote on my layout.. The photo is of my DD and our Foxxie dog when she was a little puppy..

I have used Prima papers and the black flowers were other colors and I misted them with black mist!!

And there is a new challenge site called 1-2-3 Get Scrappy and their challenges are the choice of 3 things from a row in a square.. and this is what we had this month..
So I choose the line with butterfly, free and lace in the middle row and this is my layout..  The photo is of my Youngest DD..

 and a closer view.. I have used a mix of Kaiser products, and a mix of flowers too..

A marvellous Monday to you all! The day outside is warm and very pleasant.. I feel spring is on its way for us..

A few challenges to put up today..
The sketch for CARDABILITIES #81 is another lovely one..

And the sketch for ANNAS CRAFT CUPBOARD is a multi photo layout which I always find a challenge, but I created this layout for this sketch..

I have used the Kaiser range True Romance for this layout..

Mr Happy - Scrap the Boys August

Good Day to you where ever you are! I hope your day has been good.. Friday here, I can almost smell the weekend!!hehe!

I have created a layout for SCRAP THE BOYS  for this month and we are to use a monochromatic color scheme, chipboard and twine on our layouts..  I found this cute photo of my son taken where he was 1, he is now 28.. and used blue as my color... My son was a happy little boy who filled out lives with so much blessing.. He was a little Mr Happy!

I have twine and the chipboard rocking horse from Scrapmatts..lots of papers that have been in my stash for ages...

There is still some time for the SCRAP THE GIRLS August Challenge which is to use flowers, chipboard, masking and doodling!

And the new BIRD IS THE WORD word is EXPLORE/TRAVEL..

White with one, Feeling Sketchy and the new bird word....

Hi there, so nice of you to come by! I hope you have had a good week, mine has just flown by and I am making a post now while I have a few moments!!

The WHITE WITH ONE AUGUST is to use WHITE PASTELS AND MASKING.. what a great combination!

My layout..

and a bit closer.. my pastels are so soft..

The papers I have used are mixed kaiser papers..

The sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #67 was a lovely one again and I pretty much stuck to the sketch.. there was an option to use flowers... (did someone say flowers!!hehe!!)
 

I have used some sweet little roses on the lace..

And although the official word has not gone up on the blog I am sure it will be ok to let you know the new word for BIRD IS THE WORD .. and the word is  EXPLORE/TRAVEL.. There are so many ways you can use this word... and the DT have created some wonderful takes for this word too.. They should be up on the blog sunday or monday aussie time.. there has just been a bit of a hold up...
My layout is using a photo of my DD when she was staying in the UK for 6 months. One of the many places she visited was the Memorial for Princess Diana.. So I used this photo for my layout..

and this is the optional sketch you can use.. I used the sketch and rotated it once clockwise..

OUAS, The Scrapbook Store sketch and Orange Paperie & Co - August

Good Morning to you all! I hope your weekend was good, they just go so fast don't they!? I am just sharing a few challenges I have created during last week..

The August challenge for Once Upon A Sketch is one I am sure we all would have many layouts we could do with the theme of  "I'll never forget.." and to use the sketch...I rotated the sketch like so..

And the theme I chose for this after much to-ing and fro-ing with ideas was this one..
My journalling says.. I will always remember how blessed I am.. I WILL NEVER FORGET the moments when each of you came into my life. I wanted each of you with all my heart. I may not have silver or gold but I am rich with you in my life. There is nothing worth more than my family.. Never forget.. I love you..

I also created a layout for The Scrapbook Store sketch which looks like..

And my layout using old old papers...

I have used die cuts as well as fussy cutting and some washi tape!

And the challenge for Orange Paperie & co is a lovely one.. We are asked to use chipboard and flowers... did someone say flowers?? hehe...

My take... Picture Perfect Moment...  Our horse was nuzzling my DD and I got a beautiful photo!

I have used a gorgeous Scrapmatts frame and  flourish and prima flowers.. with some masking too.

FEELING SKETCHY #66 and PIXELS AND PAPER CHALLENGE AUGUST

A very good day to you.. We are having a wintery day here today and I have a pot of chicken soup simmering for our tea.. but for a moment I am going to put up 2 challenges I have created..

The card sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #66 looks like..

 And there is a new challenge site called PIXELS AND PAPER CHALLENGE BLOG and they use a picture as our inspiration for a layout.. There are lots of things that may inspire you when you look at the picture they have.. and the picture for August is this one..
aren't they so cute!!
I was inspired by the colors, and by the fact they are all in a row and they are all so pretty too.. so I found a photo of my DD's in a row and used papers that had soft colors like the swim suits..

Kraft it up August

 Good day to you! I hope that things in your part of the scrap world are going great!

This month at KRAFT IT UP we are to create a layout that is 'our' style, as last month we were to create a layout that was not our usual style.. hummm... what is my style??? well I thought I would just sit and create using products I like  in a way that just comes naturally to me... and this is what I created....

A thing of beauty...

I have used Kaiser papers True Romance with the collectables, doileys, lace, pearls, banners and fussy cutting.. my favourite things!!

Cardabilities #80 and 123 Challenge August

Good Morning to you from me!! It is a glorious day outside, and I have done some gardening and now I declare it blog and scrap time!!  I did some scrapping over the weekend too!!

The sketch for CARDABILITIES #80 looks like...
and as I needed a baby shower card I used the sketch to create this little card..
(and yes she is expecting a little girl!)

The challenge for 123 CHALLENGE BLOG is another fabulous one this month... we are to use...

I went in search of an old photo to suit the vintage technique and found a photo of my Grandad and Grandma and I am totally guessing the date would be about the 1920's.. I have used a copy of the photo as I keep the originals to perhaps use again..

I have cream colors, the word old and this is my take on vintage!! I have used bits and bots from my stash for this layout!

SCRAP THE GIRLS - AUGUST

Hi there, another month.. and all new challenges ahead to keep us busy..
The new challenge for SCRAP THE GIRLS AUGUST is up... and how do I know this....

because....

I am on the Creative Team!!!  Yahoo!! I can let you all know now!! I love STG challenges as I have 3 gorgeous daughters, so the best thing to do was apply to the creative team call out, and yes.. I was accepted..

The August challenge is a recipe one..

All entries must use

• masking
• doodling and
• chipboard or wood veneers
