C.S.I. : Color Stories Inspiration #255

This month the DT from Scrapmatts were invited to guest over at C.S.I. Color Stories Inspiration #255 and I have managed to create a layout for this challenge..  the rules have relaxed somewhat and you can be inspired by the photo or use the clues to complete your layout..  and the challenge is..
You can also scroll to the bottom of the page at C.S.I. and follow the tradional  clues from there too..
As June 1 was Donut Day and I was also inspired by the picture I have used photos from my DD birthday one year where she had a Donut Birthday Cake!!
I have used the colors and several of the clues..

KRAFT+ JUNE CHALLENGE - Be Inspired by DR. Seuss.

Hello there,
Welcome to June...Oh yessss the months are flying by!

The new challenges are going up and this months challenge for KRAFT+ is a most wonderful one and the Design Team have sooo much inspiration, make sure you check out their creations on the KRAFT + BLOG HERE!!!  
and it is...
to be inspired by Dr. Seuss...  (who incidentally wasn't a Doctor after all!!) What inspires you about Dr Seuss..?? I know we have lots of his fun books that my kids loved when they were little.. such silly stories but great repetition for the early readers..  I had to google Dr Seuss and I was amazed by the number of quotes he has his name to.

. and so I went with a special quote using a photo of a moment in time of my DD and our old horse Bess, who is no longer with us... so that makes the photos of Bess all the more precious..

Thanks for dropping in, I know the days are crazy busy and the weeks fly by... well they do for me!! It is a busy year with my Dd in year 12 and having a casual job some days I feel like all I do is drive her around... BUT it will all change in November when she finishes school and it will be a new season for me...  so I try and enjoy each day..  there is always something to be thankful for!! Thanks for the lovely comments that some special people leave me..  I appreciate each one!! Have a fabulous day!

KAISERCRAFT BLOG CHALLENGE - May 2018

Hello there,
How is your day going? I am just popping in a layout that I have created for this months challenge over at
THE KAISERCRAFTBLOG which is a fabulous sketch...  and you know I love sketches!! The sketch looks like this..
Well I just had to use two very special photos of my first moments with my brand new Grand Daughter.. She was still in the wrap from her birth and I was able to hold her and put her in her bonds suit  and nappy... what a very special privilege for me.. I am so glad I got my hubby to take these photos...

I have used the Fairy Garden papers, and you know me... lots of fussy cutting of the pretty flowers..

Some stencilling on the back ground with the Kaisercraft stencil Cherry Blossom.

And some gauze under the fussy cutting to add some softness..

oh such a beautiful moment looking at my Darling Grand Daughter, so fresh and new and tiny!!

C.S.I. : Color Stories Inspiration #254

My word the days are flying by.. The middle of the month already!!
Which means the second challenge for C.S.I. : Color Stories Inspiration #254 is up on the blog..  And because Scrapmatts are a fabulous sponsor for this challenge the design team were invited to join in and create some inspiration for the case file!!  Which is..
You can draw your inspiration from the photo or the clues or scroll to the bottom of the page for the traditional clues.

Well I have used the colors and used the Testimony "Document something about reading"
and some closer views.

I snapped this photo of my Daughter reading one day and thought it was perfect for this case file.

Some stencilling on the background and lots of fussy cutting.. All the Chipboard is from Scrapmatts!

COLOR,STORIES,INSPIRATION - Case File 253.

I am a bit late getting this post up, but you will forgive me I am sure as I was once again down at my Daughters helping with my Darling Grand baby!! I have come home today and am madly trying to catch up with what I have missed in blog land!!

The Design Team from Scrapmatts was invited to guest for the May challenges for CSI : Color. Stories, Inspiration and join in with the two challenges..  I must admit I used to find the challenges difficult, but the rules have been relaxed somewhat and you can check out the first challenge for May ON THE BLOG HERE!!!

Humm. now I have used the colors.
and from the evidence - I have used a solid cardstock back ground, wonky dots, circles, hand cutting, paint and hand writing my journalling..

KRAFT+ MAY CHALLENGE - It's a Date!!!

Hello there on this the first day of May... crikey the year is flying by!!

And with the new month comes the new challenges and the new one for KRAFT+ is an easy one and it is...

to use a date on your layout.. on a Kraft base of course..

Well I waited for a special date for this challenge, you see, I was waiting for my grand baby to arrive and when she did, I just had to use her Birth Date for my page....

SCRAP THE GIRLS APRIL - Who am I??

How are you on this fine day!  Don't fall off your chair, but I have created a layout for this months challenge over at SCRAP THE GIRLS which is....


well I dont know about you but I have a wee bit of difficulty scrapping my self... why?? good question... so I thought I would join in with this challenge..  humm now which picture am I??  well after finding a photo from last Christmas I just had to go with......

 Yep thats me I reckon!! This is a photo from last Christmas and it is a Red Velvet Icecream cake.. now that sounds complicated but it truly isnt.. I use a Red Velvet cake mix and cook it in a cheesecake pan, then take the side off and cut the cake in half, add icecream which has been melted a little which also has honeycomb, turkish delight etc added then put the lid of the cake on and freeze that.. then the top has chocolate ganache added with crushed flake chocolate... so very yum!!

Exciting News!!

Hi all,
How are things with you?? Life continues on at a fast pace..  The days are flying by with the weekends coming along awfully quickly me feels!! The weather here has been really lovely, warm days cooler nights..  I have been finding myself spending more time in the garden of late so that has been enjoyable....

BUT!!

I have a new Team that I have been accepted to  join....  With great excitement I can announce that   SKETCHABILITIES is starting up again with the first new sketch reveal on June 15 2018..  Soo excited about seeing this fabulous site up and running again.. I do love sketches... You can see all the details of the new Design Team over on the SKETCHABILITIES BLOG HERE!!!!!
I have the sketches printed out and they are fantastic and I am soo looking forward to sitting and creating with them....  so keep a look out in June when these Sketches go live.. They will be here before we know it!!

Some creating using SCRAPMATTS!!

Good morning to you! It is such a beautiful day here, summer is hanging on by its fingernails I am sure, Autumn is not getting much of a look in as of yet.. but I am not complaining, the cold days will be here soon enough I think.

I am just popping by to share some creating I have done as part of my Scrapmatts design Team commitments.

As you know I have recently become a Grandmother to an adorable little girl so I was wanting to create a special layout for her.  I had this photo which was taken just hours after she was born and I used some older Kaisercraft papers for this page.

I just had to do up this baby Pram with a coat of gesso and a soft peachy water color paint, add some beaded trim and a tiny bit of lace to make it cute for my baby page! I also added some Hearts on the back ground with a stencil and some pink ink.

I used a lovely frame to put around my photo and used some Kaisercraft Rhinestones around the centre for some sparkle.. lots of layers, lace and punched edges.

OOO that photo melts my heart!!!

Hello..

I just loved creating this layout... perhaps it is because the little person in the photo is so special!!

I have also created a couple of cards... look away now if you dont want to be reminded of how fast this year is going as I have made two Christmas cards. Simple is the name of the game for me, and these took just a few minutes..

A Scrapmatts chipboard tree covered in glitter and sequins and sentiment chippie too..

I have used a stencil on the back ground and a Scrapmatts sentiment.  You can see all the product list I have used over on the SCRAPMATTS BLOG HERE!!!!!

KRAFT+ APRIL - a Recipe Challenge...

Hello there,
no this is no joke but we are in April already!!! I am not sure if anyone still does the April Fool jokes anymore so I hope you weren't caught out!! And it is also Easter Weekend, and I wish you all a Blessed Easter too..

This new month brings all the new challenges to inspire us to create... and the new challenge for KRAFT+ is a beauty!!! and it is....

To follow this recipe... to use something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, on a base of Kraft, and dont forget to tell us what you have used, it is such fun to see how inventive we all are!! This challenge sounds like a Wedding theme, but there are so many other ideas for this challenge...

and my take on this months challenge..

My borrowed element was a potato masher from the kitchen which I used as a stamp on my back ground!!

My new element is the papers which were new in December from Kaisercraft. As well as the blue color..

and my layout..

And my old element is the photo of my Mum taken about 80 years ago.. For lots of inspiration and to link up pop over to the KRAFT+ BLOG ..
