CARDABILITIES #129, & SCRAPPING CLEARLY SKETCH AND MOOD BOARD Aug..

Hello there,
 dont faint or rub your eyes, yes I am indeed blogging again, second time this week!!

I have a few things to put up..

I forgot to put up the lovely sketch for CARDABILITIES #129 which went up a few days ago.. (my bad!!) and it is such a sweet sketch too..  The sponsors for this sketch are DIES R US who are offering a gift certificate for a random draw winner..

SCRAP THE GIRLS AND SCRAP THE BOYS August!

A big hello to you this day! I hope your day is going really well..

I have a couple of my favourite challenges to share with you that I created during last week..  Not sure where my days are disappearing to, I am sure we are all keeping busy!

The August SCRAP THE GIRLS CHALLENGE is a lovely mood board which looks like..
I was inspired to use the colors and also the golden texture in the right top photo..  and my layout...

And another wonderful challenge this month is over at SCRAP THE BOYS AUGUST and it is

  Just for this month you can scrap a photo of your son and you.. I had some lovely photos taken on Mothers Day this year and one of them was with my son who turned 30 close to Mothers Day.. and I just had to scrap this photo...

123 CHALLENGE BLOG and KRAFT+ August

A warm Hello to you on this friday for me..  what a week.. I hope your week has been a good one...

I have the latest challenge for the 123 CHALLENGE BLOG for August and I hope you like the criteria this month..
To use Kraft whether it be kraft cardstock or paper or tags, the word Precious and do some fussy cutting...

Life is better with a dog..

My base is kraft and I have kraft tags as well.. This is my friends dog Rascal and he sure lives up to his name!!

And I have created a layout for this month challenge over at KRAFT +.. and this was quite a difficult one for me to finish.. not just the criteria, but the photo that I chose to scrap...
We are to put some zentangle doodling on our back ground which must be kraft..

I used a printed kraft from American Crafts as my background and hand doodled using a sharpie pen..and some fussy cutting of pink roses from Kaisercraft papers..  and my layout...

Treasured moments together..

This is the first layout I have scrapped of my dear doggie since she died.. so now I feel I am really scrapping treasured memories.. and isnt that why we scrap anyway??

I have been inspired by the sketch and by the purple color...

Well I hope your month is off to a good start..

Sadly I cannot say the same.. I said goodbye to my faithful little doggie Lucy today after she died last night.. She would have turned 14 next week.. She was like my shadow, always by my side.. I miss her already...  It has been a shock even though she had not been well this last week, she always recovered.. but not this time..  Just last sunday she was in photos with my daughter.. and I will end this blog post with a photo..

SHOW US YOUR STUFF jULY!! And new CARDABILITIES #128

Hello there on this last day of July.. eek.. (say no more...)

I was just pottering around and thought I would just get one more challenge layout done and I chose to do the one for SHOW US YOUR STUFF... which is
to use handwriting on your layout and one hand made embellishment..

We had an enjoyable day on Sunday and I got some lovely photos of my DD and I just wanted to scrap one of them..  It is of her standing near the flag of her birth country.. I always want her to be proud of where she came from and I just wanted to put some thoughts down for her to read each time she looks at this layout..

My hand written journalling was done on paper and then cut in strips.. and then attached to my layout..

 And a new card sketch has gone up over at CARDABILITIES #128 and it is the sweetest sketch I think!!

Lets Get ARTY July!

A big Hello to you, thanks for coming by!

 Just a quick little post today to put up a card I have created for the July challenge for LETS GET ARTY which is all about BOOKS!

I created a card and had all sorts of fun on it! I put torn book papers on the back ground, gessoed and stamped and a touch of water color and then I matted my image on to book paper...  You can check out the challenge HERE!!!

 I cannot believe how quickly each day is going by... eekkk!! I have my second daughter's birthday today, and my youngest informs me her birthday is 5 months away so that makes Christmas less then 5 months away.... Yeah well thanks for that !!! hehe!!!
