FEELING SKETCHY #125, SASSY SCRAPPER MOOD BOARD, BLUE FERN SKETCH JULY..

I have a few things to post here, some challenges I have been doing the last few days..

The sketch over at FEELING SKETCHY #125 was so good I created 2 cards with it..

and I just happened to make Christmas cards... yes I know a bit scary to be thinking about Christmas but by the way this year is flying by it wont take long until we flip over to December..

Two casual chrissy cards!

The Mood Board over at SASSY SCRAPPER really is a gorgeous eye catching board and it looks like..
and I was inspired by the bottom middle picture of the red roses and created my layout using the colors..  I have used a really really old piece of Prima fabric paper I am pretty sure I have had for maybe 5 years?? Perhaps some of you will remember it?? It has the stitching on it and I have been wondering how I could use it without covering up the beautiful design.. well I have finally used it!!

 I did a bit of stamping in red and lifted up some fussy cut flowers with foam squares..

I didnt want to cover up the beautiful back ground too much and am so glad to have finally used this paper!!

CARDABILITIES #127, and SCRAPPING CLEARLY JULY CHALLENGES..

A warm Hello there! Yes I am warm.... now... sitting here in coats and blanket around my knees! We are having some very wintery weather, and I am thankful it is not as cold as other areas around the state I live in..  But still... it is cold!

I love all the layers! I stuck closely to the sketch for the foundation of my layout..

I have used an older photo of my Daughter that has been on my desk and older papers .. The flowers are older ones from my stash too!

And the MOODBOARD JULY is another fabulous one and I have used the colors as well as being inspired by the large picture of the pink branches and the "XO".

FEELING SHETCHY #124 and KAISERCRAFT JULY CHALLENGE..

A big Hello to you,  thank you for coming by!

The latest sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #124 is an interesting one and as I just felt like doing a card one afternoon I created a simple card inspired by the sketch..

the sketch looks like..
and my card... I used doiley dies instead of the square elements on the card....

 The leaf die is one I got at the craft show in June, but all the rest of the card is stuff I have had for a while now!!

And.......

It is so good to see KAISERCRAFT MONTHLY CHALLENGES have returned because not only can you win some wonderful prizes, but it is a good excuse for me to use some of the Kaisercraft products that I have!!! hehe!
The challenge this month is a fantastic mood board..

And the inspiration I took from this is... the colors, the foliage, the dandelions and I have used a photo that I felt relates to the top left quote of all things grow better with love..  My DD and I were visiting a neighbor and went down to see their new foals.. I kept my camera focused on my daughter as one of the foals slowly walked up to her... and I clicked just at the perfect moment.. when she was able to rub his neck as his curiosity was greater than his fear..  and this moment is what I have scrapped..

The only thing not Kaisercraft on this layout is the dark purple mist..and a Martha Stewart punch.. the dies are Kaisercraft,  all the papers are Kaisercraft.. including some old ranges.. Utopia collection, Lilac Avenue collection, Limelight collection as well as various collectables..  It was good to use some of those old but still good ranges!!

SCRAP THE GIRLS & KRAFT+ July..

A very good day to you! I hope your day is going marvellously!

I have been enjoying the school holidays here and have not gotten in the car since sunday.. and lovin it! Cos that means some time for me to sit and scrap... aahhh!

The challenge for SCRAP THE GIRLS is a lovely sketch and I thought it was a good reason to use up some ribbons..

I will never tire of scrapping my DD year 7 Dinner photos.. she looked so beautiful.. I have used a Lemoncraft paper as my back ground that I got at the Craft show in Brisbane in June.. such pretty papers...

And I have created a "Mustard Explosion" for the KRAFT+ July challenge which is to use yellow paint on your layout.. well I have used it on my back ground..

The inspiration prompt..

 I saw a mish mash of stuff, things that seem to accumulate over time!!!

So I began my back ground with a layer of chipboard letters and buttons and chipboard.. and forgot in my excitement to take a photo.. and then covered the lot in gesso, and then in yellow paint..  I have used a photo of my DD when she was in her late teens.. she was known to NOT be a morning person, and I knew not to talk to her until she had her morning coffee.!!! She used to wear this T-Shirt and I HAD to get a photo of it and it has been sitting waiting to be scrapped.. I thought it suited this challenge well.. and my layout is a bit tongue in cheek.. because she was anything BUT sunshine in the morning!!!

I tried to get the yellow paint to look like it was exploding from the middle of my page!! And yep.. gotta laugh at that shirt!! hehe!

In my opinion it is a sort of red with brown...with a drop of something else.. anyways... here is my take..

The Scrapbook Store June Sketch..

A big hello to you! Yes I am still around! I have been off helping out a family member and so have not been doing much in the way of scrapping, as I am sure you all agree, family comes first..

I have managed to create a layout for the June Sketch challenge for the THE SCRAPBOOK STORE which is a lovely sketch and looks like..

and my layout using some Graphic 45 papers which I have fussy cut some images.. I must have needed the therapy and relaxation that I get from sitting and fussy cutting and forgetting the stresses of the world!!!

Secret Garden..

The photo was taken in a lovely park which had a canopy of trees and a clearing which was just like a secret garden, and that is why I used that as my title!
