The July challenge for Once upon a sketch is to use this sketch..
When I first saw the challenge I thought of the song... when I grow up to be a man... and I really hoped I would think of something else as I find male layouts sooo challenging... but I thought well it is a challenge after all.. So I used a photo of my son Nathan when he was 3 years and then I added a smaller recent photo of him.
When I grow up to be a man..
The journalling just says that even though he has grown up I cherish the memories of him as my little boy...
I did enjoy creating the back ground on this layout with texture paste mists and masks..
Thanks for dropping in and thank you for the wonderful comments you leave me too!

and my cards...
and my card..

and my layout looks like...
So I created a card.. I was inspired to use the black and white papers and add a red flower!!
and my card..
This is the wonderful sketch from Heather, to use if you wish.. Most of the DT have used it but it is not an absolute requirement.. As long as we see the word for the month on display somewhere on your layout...I have rotated the sketch once clockwise.

I have used the Kaiser papers Elegance as there is grey in the colors in this range..
