SWAT SKETCH - june and Feeling Sketchy #61

Can you believe it is June!!??

This is our horse and this is how I feel about it being the 6th month already!!BAHAHAHAHA!!!
 I just feel like laughing! It must be a joke.. but seriously it isn't!!!

So with that  all the new challenges are being loaded onto the blogs  The June sketch for
Sketches With A Twist is another brilliant one from Jules.. so much room for creativity..

and I have turned it like this..

And the twist this month is to use TRANSPARENCY... something transparent or see through...
I have used the overlay clock from Kaiser and the circles from the sketch I have used a clock mask with misting to also continue the theme of time.. With my children leading busy lives now it is always good to make time to be together.. This photo was taken after a Funeral in April, so we all made time for a meal together at Wynnum which was lovely..

This is my last layout as a design team member, after 18 months I feel it is time to move on.. I have seen a few names for the new team and they sound wonderful.. so be sure to keep SWAT on your list of to do  challenges..

The card sketch for Feeling Sketchylast monday was so nice I made 2 cards using the sketch 2 ways..

the sketch.. with added criteria of NOT using patterned paper.. I did some embossing on the panels.
and instead of a heart and a star I used flowers which I made from stamps..

and the other card which I created..just because ...I used 3-d stickers for the flowers..

Fresh as a daisy - LPS color challenge May

HI.. I hope you are having a terrific tuesday! The days are not going any slower are they???!!
I have created a layout for  Life Paper Scrapbook for the color challenge for May..
We are to use these gorgeous colors..

Pity we couldn't have one of these yummy macaroons while we scrapped!!

I found this photo and then the paper with daisy's on it and I went from there!

Scrap the girls May

Oh wow can someone please slow the merry go round!! Where are the days going?
I have managed to get one layout done all week, by going into my room and grabbing a half an hour here  and there... been a busy week!!

The May challenge for scrap the girls is to use the quote....

A smile is the best make up a girl can wear...

Well I knew I had a few photos that fit this quote.. and I found this photo... I used the Bo Bunny papers Isabella... I had a look in my chipboard stash and got 2 chippies out.. the mannequin from scrapmatts and the fabulous stiletto shoe from  twiddleybitz... I put a pink paper dress on the mannequin and covered the shoe with sparkly kindy glitz...The flourishes are Prima and the pretty pink flowers are Manor House, with some assorted prima flowers..

A smile is the best make up a girl can wear....

My girl sure can light up a photo with her smile!!

A marvellous Monday to you all! I hope your weekend was a good one..  I have a few challenges to put up and I may as well just put them all together in this post.. So thanks for looking at all of these!!

I thought I would do the CARDABILITIES #75 sketch which looks like this..

 The next sketch is from FEELING SKETCHY #60 and it looks like
and the option is to use 4 different ribbons. I have turned the card on its side for my card.. I have used 4 different ribbons..

 The May sketch for LIFE PAPER SCRAPBOOK #4 looks like.
and I have turned it up like this..

I have used a lovely Scrapmatts frame and I was going to use 4 photos but then I changed my mind and just used 1... (and I used the other 3 in the next layout!!) I used the Kaiser paper range summer breeze..

Where flowers bloom so does hope..

 and a bit closer of the top of the frame. I used kindy glitz on the butterflies and they really sparkle in real life..

And because I had originally found 4 photos for the LPS sketch and only used the one I found the sketch from The Scrapbook Store had room for 3 photos so I created a layout for this sketch.. And because I was enjoying using the kaiser papers summer breeze I used those papers for this layout as well.. the sketch...

New BIRD word and last card sketch for SOUS for me!

Hello there! I am again in awe of how quickly the days and weeks are going by.. It is time for the new BIRD IS THE WORD word or words!!
Actually this time around we have a selection of words to choose from.  Our new word for this month and the next challenge release is HE | SHE | HIM | HER.  These words may be used in any combination. Use them all or use only one. Also, our DT member Heather has created a beautiful sketch below.  Many of our other DT members have used this sketch for their layout as you will see below.  It is for inspiration only so interpret it as you wish!

I have used 3-d flower stickers that I have had for years and lifted up some of the hexagons with foam tape for a bit of dimension..

Thank you too to so many who have created for the last word it is going to be sooo very hard to vote on so many beautiful layouts!! That is the hardest part of being on a design team!!

And speaking of design teams the card sketch is finishing at SOUS so this will be my last card on the design team...  I have heard there are exciting changes coming to SOUS in the future...

Scrap around the world May and Feeling sketchy #59

Greetings! I hope your day has been the kind of day that brings a sigh of contentment!

There is a new challenge in the blog world..... and it is called SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD and although I have more challenges on my list than I can possibly do in a month, I have created a layout for this first challenge for this site.. which is to use this mood board and sketch for inspiration..

  What inspired me was the gorgeous aqua color and the distressed wood on the two doors as well as that amazing chandelier... and when I looked at the table set I thought of family being together... and the colors in the photo I have used went well with these colors too..

I have used the Kaiser papers basecoat as base, I also made the chandelier and placed each bead by hand... (it seemed like a good idea when I started but by the end...not so sure !!hehe!!)

Baby Girl - Once Upon a Sketch May

Hi there! I hope your day is going well!

Yesterday I sat and created a layout for the May OUAS which is to use this sketch
and to use numbers on your layout..
Well when I was thinking about this challenge my first thoughts were nothing like what my layout ended up like.. The first thing I did was search for a  photo.. and when I saw the photo I have used I sat and looked at it and got very emotional.. I sat and thought about how the time has flown and this little chubby bubby is now an adult.. So I wrote a little poem and I have numbers in my poem. I also have some journalling to do with the poem and photo..

 This photo is of Hannah when she was around 6 months old and the way she is gripping her toes with her chubby hands just melts my heart!!

And speaking of heart melts, I do wish each Mum a very happy Mothers day tomorrow I hope it is a day filled with love, and for anyone who may feel a bit sad because of loss I hope you can find some happy memories from the special people who have been in your life..

Hi there, I hope you are having a good day where ever you are!
I have a few challenges to post here that I have been working on the last few days.

Red - yep Happy - yep and balloons Yep!! I have used the simple stories papers which are not new but have been  in my drawer for quite some time now!

The card for this week at Feeling sketchy is
with optional criteria of using the sentiment as the main focus of the card... I have made a Christmas card and the sentiment was on the papers I have used..

and today I was feeling like playing with  a  sketch and found the May Sketch for Annas Craft Cupboard and loved it...  I have used it like this...

Kraft it up and About a girl May challenges

A marvelous Monday morning to you all! The weekends go so fast! I hope you all got a bit of time for scrapping and doing what you love the most!

I have created a layout for the Kraft it up May challenge which is to create a VINTAGE layout..(on kraft cardstock.)  I was given some photos from a cousin of mine and the photos are so precious.. They are of my ancestors and my dad's farm years and years ago.. So I have chosen a photo of my Grandparents and family which was taken about 80 years ago.. My dad is the little boy sitting.. So what a special photo this is to me.. I hope I have created a layout worthy of this beautiful photo..

I have used an old doiley from a life line shop, old book pages, old lace bits, and various papers, kaiser chipboard pieces and  various flowers..


I have also come across a new challenge site Its all about the girls and as I have 3 gorgeous girls I thought I would have a go at the first challenge which is to scrap about the girls in your life and to introduce them.. I have their names on the side on the banners..
I also went crazy with the collectables from the kaiser range lulu and roy to use them up!! (make room for the new ones..hehe!!)

White with One May - follow your heart.

HI there, can you believe it is  Friday again!!!? This week has flown, but thankfully I have been able to get some scrapping time!!

The WHITE WITH ONE May challenge is to use white with black and badges/banners.. I don't think I have any badges so I went with banners..  I did start with a white cardstock base, but after paint and masking and stamping.... ahem... it kinda isnt too white.. so can you take my word for it that I started off with a white cardstock base!!!
I had fun with this one.. must have needed to go wild!! I even dusted off my little cricut and did some cutting.. I found I had a cartridge called pretty pennants.. which is all about banners.. so the little triangle ones, the heart one and the fish tail ones were cut using my cricut..  I must remember to use it more.. There is some lace... I also used a strap from a top with a bling buckle!! Enough talking..... my layout................
