ANNAS CRAFT CUPBOARD Mini Challenge - Doileys..

Hello there,
I am sitting here listening to the rain, coming in spits and I am hoping this is going to hang around for a few days..  It has given us a bit of a break from the relentless heat, so here's hoping...

I felt like creating something and hoped I would finish it before the end of the month, because if you are like me, sometimes I start something and life happens and I dont get back to it for a few days!!  I cant believe how quickly January has flown by... It just doesn't seem like it has been long enough!!! but by the end of this week it will be a new month!!

The challenge over at ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD - Mini Challenge on Facebook was to use doileys...  well I have heaps of them so I thought I would create a layout using doileys..

and a couple of closer views first..

I have layered two doileys and added flowers and pieces of a brick wall die as well as leaves cut from a die.

Beautiful..

This is a photo of my DD taken quite a few years ago...  She was such a cutie!!

MORE THAN WORDS : January 2018.

Good day to you!
I trust things are going well for you..  I am sitting in front of the fan as the  night air slowly cools down a bit..
With these hot days I have been doing a bit of scrapping and the latest challenge for MORE THAN WORDS grabbed my attention as I had a birthday girl last month, so I grabbed the photo off facebook and began to create.. this is the challenge...
To scrap about a birthday and use at least two tags..
I got out some Cocoa Vanilla papers and started on my background and then my page came together...

Stamping, stencilling and lifting embellies up with foam tape..

I used four tags two on the side and two above my photo..

We went to Max Brenners for some thing yummy and they brought out this plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate for my DD... and I must admit the chocolate I ate that night was really delicious!!
Thanks for a great challenge MORE THAN WORDS I got to scrap this photo the month after it was taken!!!

The DUSTY ATTIC January Challenge 2018.

Hello there,
How are things with you? We sure are experiencing a hot summer and the nights are warm and balmy. So what is a girl to do? Sit and scrap of course!!

I saw the challenge over at THE DUSTY ATTIC BLOG which is a fabulous one...

to be inspired by this mood board... oh my all that gold, I thought I would see how much gold I could find and have a go at this challenge..  It is always surprising how much of something one has when one makes a search through ones stash... cough cough.. I had more then I thought I had... hehe... so let the creating begin!!

Some stencilling, some bling, and lots of gold paint!! I have used a Lacy Trim along the top of my page..

I have had these gold flowers for ages!!!

I have used the Elegant Pearls painted in gold and added bling!

I enjoyed creating this layout, and so glad to use up some DA chippies too..

The little hearts are from the cog die cut and the little flower gem has been in my stash for years.. I am trying to use stuff up, and perhaps it will take me years to make a dent, but you just gotta start somewhere!!!

These photos are of my Dd and our old horse who is no longer with us after she hurt her foot really badly, so these moments are to be treasured...  Bess was a give away her owner no longer wanted her, but she had several happy years with us..  its funny how these old photos bring back the memories..

SCRAP THE GIRLS January - Got the blues!

How are things in your part of the world? We have been having such hot dry days that there has not been much housework happening here, the only thing I enjoy is sitting in front of the fan and getting a bit of scrapping done!! So I have been able to create for this months challenge over at SCRAP THE GIRLS  which grabbed my attention as i love the color blue... and the challenge is...
to be inspired by this mood board...  I love all those blues and I thought the new papers from Kaisercraft were perfect for this challenge...  Then I found a photo of my Dd wearing blue and away I went!!

I took the Sketch as is and tried to copy the diamonds at the top of the page, but there is so much else you can do with this sketch..

I used a square punch to create the look of the diamonds..

I have also fussy cut flowers and birds from papers and lifted them up with foam tape for dimension.

KRAFT+ January 2018 ..

Hello there! A pinch and a punch for a new month, and hey a brand new year too! Did you see the old year out and the new year in!!?? I did, just at home.. watching the fireworks on tv!! and then falling into bed to wake up ready ???? for the new year!!!

and the new challenge for KRAFT+ is a fabulous one...  and it is..
to be inspired by COFFEE!!  Pretty sure most of us were reaching for coffee today after a late night last night!! hehe... There are wonderful inspirations from the design team over on the blog so make sure you check them out Here!!!!!  And did you know there is now a section for Cards and tags following the criteria and having Kraft as the base...

and my take..  I really got the coffee out and used cold coffee in many ways on my layout..

I have used coffee splats on the back ground as well as soaking gauze in coffee..

I also soaked the music paper and dripped some coffee on the tags..

Love the moments...

So many ways to be inspired by coffee!!
