STUCK?! July 1 Sketch and CHALLENGE YOUrself #43.

Hello there,
How are you? For us aussies, we are in Winter, and I really can't complain, the mornings lately have been frosty, but the days have been warming up nicely.. I just wish the days would slow down...  I have actually been in a bit of a mojo slump, so to help that I decided to do a sketch, and I always love the ones over at STUCK?! SKETCHES and so I created a layout using the July 1st sketch.. which looks like..

Well thats the design taken care of, so then I thought I would join in with the challenge over at CHALLENGE YOUrself #43 which was to use some hand written journalling on your layout... and a photo with me in it...  So  I  found a photo of my Dd and I taken this year, printed it off twice and away I went...

I have used the lovely papers from Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Collection and had to do some fussy cutting, cos that is my stress buster!! The chipboard is an old Scrap FX one and some straws too.

Some stamping on the back ground and the leaf chipboard is from Blue Fern.

My journalling has been adapted from a quote I found..

I did enjoy creating this layout, I have used some really old chipboard pieces which I have had for ages.. A lovely sketch and a prompt to do some hand written journalling.. Thanks to STUCK?! and also CHALLENGE YOUrself .

C.S.I. : Color, Stories, Inspiration July Challenges..

Hello there,
By crikey these days are flying by me thinks!! Already over half way in July!!!

So I had better put up the layouts I created for this months challenges over at C.S.I. Color, Stories, Inspiration . They are fabulous challenges if you have never joined in you really should have a go!!

The challenge for #233  due by the 31st July was a favorite, I loved the colors we had to use..  and it is..
To use the colors, and the sketch, at least 3 of the clues and choose at least one of the Testimony. And my layout..

All the chipboard is from Scrapmatts..

I have used the sketch and the colors, you can use other colors as well, as long as the 3 colors are dominant. HAPPY TIME is in my journalling.. I must admit my pink is a bit richer than the color on the challenge board .. So I reckon if you try and get as close to the shade as possible..  I dont think you need to go out and buy new stuff just to complete this challenge but use what you have..  123 Challenge blog is just hoping to have more people join in!!!
