MORE THAN WORDS & SHOW US YOUR STUFF APRIL..

I have two layouts to put up today!

The April challenge for MORE THAN WORDS main challenge is another fabulous one! and it is...
to use the word ESCAPE and be inspired by the mood photo..
I have used a photo of my daughter on her latest holiday to the Whitsundays and the mood photo is colorful so I have used some great colors on my layout!

I have used an older range from Kaisercraft for my layout..

And I thought I would join in with the challenge over at SHOW US YOUR STUFF which is this month to.....

Get creative with stamps.. now I have a few... cough.. stamps... humm... quite a few...  stamps!! so I enjoyed creating a layout for this challenge..

 I have used a gorgeous Funky Flair as well as making my flowers and leaves from a Heartfelt Creations stamp..

I put some beads from a broken bracelet in the center of my flowers..

The back ground is stamped, the butterflies are a stamp, a bit of ribbon and ric rac added too. Another photo of my sisters and I!!

SCRAP THE GIRLS & DUSTY ATTIC MOOD BOARD APRIL..

Hello there!
So happy to share with you two layouts I have created for two April challenges..

The SCRAP THE GIRLS APRIL CHALLENGE is a really soft pretty mood board which looks like..
The colors are so pretty, I could not resist!

My chipboard title was covered in gold inspired by the gold quote in the mood board..

And I have created a layout for this months challenge over at THE DUSTY ATTIC BLOG which is another wonderful mood board and I loved the colors in this one too.. and it looks like..

I loved the purples blues and greeny blues and used these colors on my layout..

A Guest Spot at STUCK?!

A warm Hello to you! I hope your day is going well!

I have been honored to be a guest designer over at STUCK ?! SKETCHES April 15th and if you have never seen the sketches that are created twice a month then you need to do yourself a favour and pop on over!!!

There are 2 sketches each month, on the first and Fifteenth of the month and a random draw so everyone has a chance of winning a wonderful prize..  The challenge rules can be found HERE!!!!

Those layers under the photo are fabulous and I stuck (sorry for the pun!!) closely to the sketch for my layout..

KAISERCRAFT APRIL SKETCH & My Canvas for SCRAPMATTS..

it is a glorious Wednesday here and I hope your day is going well too!

I have created a layout for KAISERCRAFT APRIL SKETCH and it looks like..

I just loved the sketch and followed it closely using one of my favourite paper ranges Secret Garden, with some Kaisercraft stencils and dies and mists!!

And as part of my Design Team for SCRAPMATTS I created a canvas that will go on display at the Shows with all the Design Team Family.  I remember going to the Craft show in Brisbane years ago, and admiring the canvases on the wall, and now I will be up there with them.. What an honor to be part of this lovely team!

For my canvas I first gessoed my canvas and then laid out my chipboard peices the way I liked..I added a bit of lace and then I covered it all  with gesso and left  dry overnight..

The chipboard that I used was CB 6005 Ornate Frames 05, CB5142 Retro Squares 02, CB5137 Ornate Toppers 01, CB 2012 Page Border 10 (Cogs) the butterflies from CB4015 and my Title from CB6112 Scrap Words 31.

I then sprayed the canvas with 3 mists and left it dry thoroughly. I then matt my photo and placed it on the canvas, added some fussy cut flowers and tags and 2 butterfly's.

I am happy with how it turned out. Each of the design team are creating a canvas of themselves so pop over to the SCRAPMATTS BLOG to see what the team are up to!!

Feeling Sketchy #142 & KRAFT + April..

Hello there,  so nice you have come by! I hope your week is going well!

I have a card to share for the sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #142 and the sketch looks like..
I have stuck to the sketch but I have put my sentiment in my frame.. and my card using lovely Scrapmatts chipboard pieces..

And once again I have joined in with the April Challenge for KRAFT + and it is ..

 to use black and white on Kraft.. I was inspired by the doileys, the spots and the frames..

The square die was inspired by the frames..

Everything beautiful has its moment..

That is an older photo of my daughter that was sitting there so I used it!!

Thanks KRAFT + for another great challenge!! I enjoyed slopping the gesso on and layering doileys!!

New Month - New Challenges!!

A pinch and a punch for the new month of April! I am sure none of you were an April Fool!!

I took inspiration from the colors in the photo...

The challenge for ARCHISCRAPS is just fabulous...
To use this building for inspiration and to also use spots!! This is called the Domino Building... and you can see why!!!
And I created a card for this month..

I was inspired by the blue and pink and I have used a spot stamp from Typo on the back ground.. And a hand made bow!

And this months challenge for the 123 CHALLENGE BLOG is a lovely one.. and it is..

To use white.. and you will see silver is on the design teams examples, so you can use silver too.. the word PEACEFUL and some flowers..

A peaceful moment..

The silver paper I used was from a box I received with some perfume at Christmas.. It worked well with my dies..
