As the blog title says, I am creating a blog post as part of the Design Team Application for Kaisercraft. I did apply last year, but was unsuccessful, and after much thought I decided I would try again, because if you visit my blog you will know I am a bit (understatement of the year!) of a Kaisercraft fan.. So why not I thought? It would be amazing to be on the Design Team for a Company whose products I really do love to create with..
We are to showcase a layout, a Beyond the page/Altered Item and a Mixed Media item or card..
I created a new layout for this post..
I have used the stunning paper range Cherry Blossom for this layout.. and I can say it is pretty much all Kaiser products.. apart from the cardboard I used for lifting up some of my embellishments.
Some closer Views.
I often listen to the papers I am using, and I can sometimes hear them say to me..... cut me out.. True story!! Some fussy cutting of the pretty blooms..
Another word I hear whispered when I am creating is... layers.. and here are some layers!! and stamping!!
My layout..
Another layout I have created this year using Kaiser products..

Next on my list is a Beyond the page item. I decided to create a wall hanging for my wall.. using this frame from Kaiser.
I used a mix of papers (that is the beauty of Kaiser paper ranges, they mix well together and I dont have any left over papers that sit waiting to be used..) but mainly Be-YOU-tiful papers.. I have used Kaiser pearl strips, stamps, chip board leaves, mini roses, kindy glitz, and the decorative die large flourish.
And my frame..
And I have created a card for my third project.
Once upon a time, I did not think I could create cards.. but over time I have developed confidence to make cards. They are a great little creative fix when you just want to create but dont have the time for a layout.. I have some step by steps to how I created my card.. and you will see how easy creating cards can be.. I hope you enjoy the process..
I have used the wonderful All that glitters range.
Cover the front of the card.. and I like to go around the edges with some ink for definition.
Cut out a smaller piece of contrasting paper.. I dont use a measure, I just cut it out! and I have used a Martha Stewart punch around 2 edges.. you could use decorative scissors or leave straight..
Do a bit of stamping!
Place the paper piece on the card and add a fish tail banner.. I have cut in half some Kaiser flowers that I have had for years..
Tuck the flowers under the banner and I cut out another smaller banner.. inking each edge as I go..
I added a frame from the collectables.
and stamped my message on it.
I assembled my card and added some pearls, a little flower, die cut leaves from the Kaiser die vines and a little chipboard bow. But then I was not happy with how the leaves seemed to disappear on my card, so I cut out 3 more in a lighter paper and added them.. and my finished card..
and another card I have created this year using Kaiser papers..

I will nervously await and see if I make the Team this year, it would be an amazing opportunity and I do wish everyone who applies all the best too.. Thank you so much for popping in, and as always, thank you for your wonderful comments too..
