Scrappy sketches

Hi there..
Can you believe it is a new month tomorrow...  personally I hope it is a better month than January was.. for anyone affected by the fires or floods, lets hope things are on the improve in February..

I was just looking for something to do, no stress, no challenge, and so I thought I would do a sketch from SCRAPPY SKETCHES and I used mid week sketch 03-13, which looks like this..




Heather does such lovely sketches.

and my layout using older kaiser papers... the flowers in the top corner fussy cut and layered.. seems to be my thing lately!!

and just before I go one of the sites I am DT on is having a blog hop... 
 

 Most of the girls are being involved in this, and we are all creating from a sketch as well as having a RAK, so I am hoping you will enjoy seeing what we come up with.. I have not ever been involved in a blog hop before, so I hope I can get my post up in the right spot!!hehe!! I will have a little RAK for someone who leaves a comment on my hop post...

So get ready to turn the calender over again!!!

My Creative Sketches and Feeling Sketchy

Hello all! I hope this finds you all well.. What a month January has been, extreme heat, fires and now floods...  I am thinking of those in flood areas especially those in Brisbane region as the flood waters make their way towards you.... again...  only 2 years ago we all were in shock at the floods we experienced.. and now... Queensland has had a battering again... please take care...

I have again created using sketches from blogs I have found.. the first is a layout made using the sketch from MY CREATIVE SKETCHES and this is the sketch..



 

Once again I have used  older ranges of Kaiser papers as well as an overlay..I used a gorgeous Manor House flower spray and prima flowers on top of the overlay...

One of a kind - Pamela's world of scrap sketch

HI there,

Well I don't know how I came across this site, some days I hop from blog to blog via other blogs and one such day I came across Pamela's World of Scrap and having some time to scrap and liking the sketches I saw, I started creating...

I have used the layout sketch and the card sketch...

The layout sketch...






and my layout...

I have used the old but still a favourite range of English rose papers by Kaiser..

I layered up the fussy cut roses with foam tape and put some kindy glitz on them..

and because there was a card sketch there as well and while I still had these papers out I created a card with the sketch..

I had quite a pleasant day yesterday creating...

Dare to dream - FWAB January challenge

Greetings! I hope this finds you well...

Among the many challenges that I like to check out is FWAB and for January the challenge is to use black white and one other color and of course a FWAB product..

I have used black white and red, and two FWAB products....the luke black flourish and the Grace black flourish...cutting them both up to suit where I wanted them to be placed on my layout.. and the photos are of my Daughter Hannah last year...

and while I had some scraps I thought I would make a card...

I created this card using the sketch from FEELING SKETCHY which looks like this..

Let a little sunshine in - The Scrapbook Store Sketch

Gidday! I trust this finds you all as well as can be... another weekend nearly over and another week about to begin.. I have been so busy, and have not been doing as much scrapping as I would like.. but here is one layout I did during last week..  It is the sketch for The Scrapbook Store which is for December, but thankfully it carries over into January..

 This is the first time I have made rosette flowers.. the two big ones I have made the two smaller ones are store bought..I have used Basic Grey Lucille papers, masking with texture paste, and bits and pieces from my stash...I really just enjoyed following the sketch.. it has been too hot to fuss too much for me!!

I have made this from scraps of paper, I had a little bit of a pearl flourish left over and the flowers have been in my stash for many years!! I hope you get some time to create a card!!

White with ONE - Jan Challenge

Greetings.. I hope your weekend is going as well as can be.. I do think of those who have been battling the fires and I hope you are safe.. The weather here has been HOT.. but today I did some scrapping in front of the fan...

The January White with ONE challenge is to use white base, aqua and red colors and a summer photo..

My layout uses a photo of my youngest trying hard to eat an ice cream before it drips all over her.. definitely a summer photo!!

Welcome to January this Month we have another stunning sketch from Jules and wow the DT have excelled themselves.

This Months TWIST is one most will love and its to use a Chevron in your layout..


My take... the photo is a 'selfie' that my Hubby and I took when we went away on a little break in September...

New BITW -- WHISPER

Hi all,
It is time for a new word for BITW and it is whisper... such a lot of possibilities for this word... Also a message from Wendy concerning BITW too...

Hi Everyone!  Our final word for a little while will be WHISPER. I like the sound of this word...it is actually really, really cold where I live right now and sometimes when it is really cold and really dark I get the feeling that I need to whisper when I am outside because it is incredibly quiet and peaceful.  

I cannot wait to see what you create!  I think of soft blues and whites with this word.  What do you think of?

I am way behind with winner's announcements and over the next few weeks before my new baby arrives I will have all of the winners posted and prizes handed out.

Last week I had mentioned that I would be taking off the month of January, but then I started thinking that it will probably be a better fit if I start back up in March.  I am due February 15th, so who knows what the month of February will bring.  Thank you to all of you for hanging in there with me while I work through my personal life.  It means a lot!  

I am home all of this weekend so I hope to post winners then.

I have used some really old papers and stickers and flowers, my mantra for scrapping this year is gunna be an adaptation of the song from Madagascar... ( I like to move it move it...) I am gunna be singing... "I'm gunna use it use it!!!" and try and use the older stuff in my stash... because the new ranges are so beautiful you better wish me luck !!haha!!
