STB, STUCK?! and KRAFT IT UP..

Good day to you all! What a busy month this has been for me! and I am sure for you too! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the blessings of family and food..!!
I have to admit I think this has been the busiest month for me this year.. The start of December saw my DD have her year 7 dinner and she looked so beautiful..

Then it was the school concert and then I had an appointment in Brissy, then  her birthday party at the local bowling alley.. then it was Christmas day and I had my family my parents and my inlaws here.. and then we had my hubbys side family Christmas last saturday.... phew.. and all the while doing life and grabbing a few minutes here and there for scrapping, which if I did not have I might add I would have gone bonkers!!!hehe!

So..... I have a few layouts to share..

The SCRAP THE BOYS DECEMBER is to use the quote "all I want for Christmas" as your inspiration.. I found this cute photo of my nephew from when he was only 1 year old.. and I thought yeah I would love to have this little boy back... he is now 6 and going to year 1 next year.. so that is my inspiration for this layout.. I did a decoupage bear and wrote my title on the sign he is holding..

Good Day to you!! Can you believe it is one week from today and it is Christmas! The day many of us celebrate because we remember Christs birth.. We celebrate because that event gives meaning and  hope to each and every other day of the year.. We celebrate because we are thankful for many things like our family's and that day we spend time with them..  And so for me I have begun preparations and as such have been slightly busier than usual.. So I have not been able to sit and scrap as much as I would like, however I have had a layout on my desk so  when I got a few minutes I would get in and do a little bit here and there and I have managed to finish it..

The December challenge over at Orange Paperie & Co is a color challenge to use Gold*Silver*White..  I used an older photo of my DD from a few Christmas's ago for this layout..

Feeling Sketchy #75 and White with One

Hello there, how are all your Christmas preparations going? I hope things are feeling festive and not too stressed.. I HAD to disappear into my scrap room and do some scrapping.. my mind needed time out!!  So I did a couple of challenges..

The sketch over at FEELING SKETCHY #75 had a Christmassy feel, so I created a card with that in mind..

some closies.. I used to sew.. and I found this piece of lace, obviously I was going to use it on something,  however I thought it would go well on my layout..

Scrap the Girls December Challenge

Ho Ho Ho!! Welcome to the merry month of December!! I hope things are looking and feeling a bit festive at your place! We put up our little tree yesterday as it was raining so that was a fun thing to do on a rainy day.. Later we are off to Carols in the park.. all part of trying to get into the swing of this festive season!! (like I said... trying to get in the mood..hehe!!)

Well all the challenges are getting put up.. and the challenge over at SCRAP THE GIRLS is to use multi photos, at least 3 or more.. SO hopefully that will be easy enough.. although time is going to be a factor in how much I get scrapped this month.. The DT have created some wonderful layouts and here is mine.. I went with a Christmas theme.. yep I have still got lots of photos unscrapped from previous years!

FWAB, Pixels and Paper and Kaiser Saturday Sketch...

Hello there! SO very nice of you to drop by.. I have a few challenges to put up before the end of the month..  Yep another month.. the last of the year.. I am still wondering how we got here.. but here we are!!

The challenge over at FLOURISH WITH A BLING is to use a door or window on your creation.. As time was running.. sprinting away I decided to do a card.. I found a Chipboard window from Kaiser and created this card.. It looks like you are looking out the window into a tree and seeing the nest.. the FWAB product I cut up into tiny bits and put around the outside of the window.. I hand drew the curtains..

The challenge over at PIXELS AND PAPER is to take inspiration from this picture...
Well I took inspiration from the chickens and found this old photo of my older 3 kids taken about 1996 with 2 of the chickens we had at the time.. We have had several batches of chickens over the years.. They make great pets too by the way!!

 The flowers and feathers are dies.. lots of stamping again.. I used Indie Chic papers..

And the last layout is a layout I have created for the SATURDAY SKETCH NOV #4 KAISER and this week is a scraplift and I choose to lift this lovely layout..

and my layout is 99% Kaiser product.. the only things I used that are not Kaiser are the ink, kindy glitz and punches. All the papers, die cuts, stamps, pearls are kaiser.. and I have used a few different Christmas ranges here..

Scrapbook Boutique challenge and Stuck?! Nov 15 sketch

Hello there, so nice of you to come by! I cant believe how fast the days are turning into weeks and soon it will be the last month of the year.. How are you all going with Christmas? I have started in a very small way.. at least I am not in total denial!! hehe!!

The challenge over at Scrapbook Boutique is to be inspired by this picture..
and I have picked up the lovely blue and red and white color scheme and created a card for Christmas..

 

 And I created a layout for the latest STUCK?! Nov 15th sketch which is to use this sketch..
and my layout using  Kaiser papers and collectibles..

New Bird Word - Always..

Good day to you! It is a pleasant day outside although we have storm warnings for this afternoon.. lets hope we don't get what we had the other day, a hail storm with hail the size of a 50 cent piece here.. I felt so sorry for my horse who would not come to us and go in his shed.. I guess the sound of the hail was too loud in there...
Anyways...

There is a new word for BIRD IS THE WORD and a bit of an announcement from Wendy the manager of the site.. She is overwhelmed with life and feels she cannot keep the site going and she is putting it out there if there is anyone who feels they could continue on with BITW otherwise it will close next year.. Please have a read and also check out the DT's layouts for this months word... HERE

123 Challenge November

Good afternoon or day what ever time it is for you!! It is a beautiful autumn day outside today.. perhaps a bit too warm!!

Well I love stamping at the  moment and I love teal, but using the word cool was a bit trickey, until.. I found this photo of my DD at the park we went to in September with her hand in some COOL water in a pond....and my layout was created..

Feeling sketchy, Cardabilities and OUAS

The card sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #74 looks like..

And the challenge over at Once Upon A Sketch November is to use the sketch and the theme of my happy place for your journalling.
 I rotated the sketch once clockwise to suit my photo...

 After thinking about where my happy place is I thought about where am I happy? And one of many things in life that I derive that feeling of happiness is in my little kitchen.. and one of those happy occasions is Christmas.. I spend hours and hours looking for recipes and then preparing the goodies for our Christmas lunch which is usually my family my Parents and any others at a lose end for  Christmas lunch.. SO that is where I have gone with this layout..

Christmas Cooking..

I have used 2 older Kaiser ranges of papers..  And if you cant read the journalling...
"Cooking makes me happy! Especially when it is for my family. And when the roast turkey and vegs cooks perfectly - I am happy! I spend hours preparing food for Christmas. Meats, vegs, salads, sweets, slices, lots of cooking to share at Christmas.."
Yes I get a bit frazzled too but I do love my family coming home for Christmas!!

Scrap around the world, The Orange Paperie and a litle favour to ask..

Good day to you wherever you are! It is friday evening here, and another week seems to have gone by oh so quickly... I have a few things to share with you..

The November challenge for SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD grabbed my attention this month.. perhaps it was the color, or perhaps it was the quote?? I am not too sure, however I did sit and create using the colors in the  mood board, the quote and the sketch for inspiration..

 I hope you can see where I got my inspiration for this layout from!! lots of color, I have used the quote and the sketch.. and hand made flowers...

The challenge over at THE ORANGE PAPERIE & CO is to use the sketch and use either die cuts or fussy cutting.. did someone say fussy cutting!!!?? You dont have to ask me twice!! hehe.!!!

Now normally I would not do something like I am about to do, however I just feel I should..  I know we are a community of scrappers and sometimes I feel like we are a large family.. When someone is hurting or going through a tough time, we all try to encourage them.. And so the other day when I was over at Natalie's blog HAPPY DAKS  (she is going through chemo for Ovarian cancer) and she mentioned she would like some inspiration layouts so she can look at and get some encouragement from.. Her post is HERE and her health journey is HERE. Please pop over and have a read and I think you will be touched by her courage and honesty and brave battle against the effects of the chemo..  Could I ask you to create a little page, she has asked for an A4 size and send it to her.. Her address is on the post.. There are lots of things you could do, and many wonderful quotes around.. Have a play with mixed media or something, but I would love to inundate her mail box with boxes of layouts of love and encouragement.. Now I would not ask you to do something that I have not already done and so here is my little layout.. A4 size and a picture and quote I got off google images printed on white cardstock..

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain...

I will be wrapping this up and posting it off next week.. Would really love it if you could create something too.. (Natalie does not (hopefully) know I have put this on my blog, not sure if she comes by here..) Thanks so much if you can help..

Now if you are having troubles getting the right color there is also a digital download of various papers and I did print out some and used them on my layout..  I used a photo of my Dd when she turned 17..

I have used stencils with modeling paste, Martha Stewart punches, dies and lace, and flowers from Dusty Attic.. And just a closey of the cluster in the top corner..
